This is, frankly, far fewer than I’d expected

@profanity.accountant ok let’s try this

Ash Wednesday, lads This album eternally makes me feel 18 open.spotify.com/track/7JXiWo...

I tried typing a reply to this several times and couldn’t post it. It’s correct to assert that we haven’t really got to grips with how it’s affected us.

As is tradition.

Me to @thatmarkroberts.bsky.social since the stacking pig game came out.

Lovely rehearsal tonight, though a bit nerve-wracking as the director goes “make eye contact with the audience and hold it “ to four actors and the whole audience is… me. 😳

Ok so this is extremely fun and distracting. 🐷🏗️ I built a tower 🔺14.33m high! Rating: 🐽🐽🐽🐽➖ vole.wtf/styscraper/

I still don’t know what to do with my signed books (which are/were a treasured gift from my dad, or they’d have gone in the bin by now, obvs, the ‘item was gift from beloved parent’ is the issue). But yeah, we all just went ‘nope’ collectively.

I went to this subreddit when I was looking for more info on creating a channel and it was the most depressing place, for the reasons described in this thread. ‘Find your niche’ is pervasive throughout marketing in general rn - it’s ok advice if taken gently, but that’s not what’s happening there

We have just this morning had some urgent plumbing work done after multiple years of trying to get someone to quote for it.

The only good thing about all this Kindle nonsense is that I found out by YouTube pushing me a video from @criminolly.bsky.social who talks about exactly the sort of books I like and whose channel I am now enjoying/you may also enjoy.

Amazon appear to have disabled the book backing up thing early. Ffs.

At the first reading, the cast gave me a ‘cold’ so bad that I am crying off rehearsals today. Do you know how sick I have to be to cry off rehearsals? This is the second time in twenty years. I once called a ten-day run with an untreated broken jaw. (I’m sure it’s not Covid, just… ugh)

A thing I admire about billy corgan is he heard his voice and was like I'm going to be the lead singer of a band and people are going to enjoy listening to this and he was right

I have been a heavy Kindle user. I would like to change that. If anyone has strong opinions on Boox or Kobo (or another kind), I’d love to hear them. What’s the nicest to read from/most robust/least fuss?

Millennial priests all "For God so stanned the world, that he cancelled his best boi, that whosoever is his mutual should not be ghosted, but be lit AF."

First rehearsal tonight. Good to be back in the theatre at least.

This is fantastic

My laptop is in some sort of hinterland where it’s just installed copilot, but because it’s a standalone version of Office, not 365 on subscription, it doesn’t have the disabling options in Word etc. I’ve uninstalled it from the Apps menu in the system settings, hopefully that’s enough.

I had no idea that downloading and backing up was even A Thing, so I have a fun week of downloading soooo many books ahead.

feel good #dragonage

happy valentine’s day! 💕💿💾 #art #DigitalArt

I participated in the original thread, and would like to change my answer.

VLADIMIR: Well? Shall we log off? ESTRAGON: Yes, let's log off. They do not log off.

So work out how to pivot London. The architecture and spaces we built there are not fit for modern purposes. Create community space. Affordable flats where people can live. Services & amenities for locals. Arts & music destinations.

Been running auditions for a July production all day. Excellent day but very tired now.

what AI boosterism reminds me of is Uri Geller's "psychic" spoon-bending. even if it works, we have better, quicker, more reliable ways to bend spoons. but more to the point: we don't need bent spoons

My apocalypse skills: I’m a stage manager. Improvising solutions while existing in perpetual high-stakes crisis is kinda my whole deal.

I’m a theatre maker, an emerging theatre maker and I CANNOT afford to go to the theatre which is fairly key to you know development of my craft… what is going on when theatre tickets are regularly £200+ what are we allowing to happen to our industry.

Yes, but not only because it’s a route into professional work. Because it also joyful, illuminating, full of craft and transformative in its own right. And because it allows space for everyone to express themselves whether they want to be a pro or not.

If you have Made A Thing, there is a whole lot of folks who would Quite Like A Thing To Focus On Right Now Actually, please tell us about the thing.
