Happy to be in this excellent anthology from @brokensleepbooks.bsky.social

Important new research out today concludes that English “water companies are adopting disinformation tactics similar to those used by the fossil fuel and tobacco industries with the widespread use of greenwashing to downplay the environmental harm they cause”. 👇 www.theguardian.com/environment/...

ah! seeing our collaborative pamphlet next to these beautiful (and favourite) books is the best feeling, and it's such an honour to be read by students 🌱🌷

Here are the gorgeous books and pamphlets I used in my first ‘Working with the Words of Others’ class. By Atef Alshaer Maggie Nelson @victoriachang.bsky.social Nina Mingya Powles @pairedaeza.bsky.social @alycia.bsky.social @jessicajlee.bsky.social 📚

collections often are criticised for “unevenness” but isn’t that also part of their charm? that the workings of a poet “becoming” are also on the page, next to poems that feel crystallised? don’t we love process and learning and error more than the language of product & perfection? or shouldn’t we?

Very excited for the launch for @writeback.bsky.social - a new quarterly events series at the British Library where writers speak about their niche interests, then interview each other. First event is 18th March. Tickets can be bought here www.seetickets.com/event/writeb...

Excited for this curated by the super-talented and equally just lovely human being @hannahcopley.bsky.social

Some photos from the wonderful TS Eliot Prize-giving and readings, including a lovely photo of the winner Peter Gizzi with me and two fellow shortlisted poets, Hannah Copley & Raymond Antrobus.

A few photos from the T.S Eliot Prize weekend. HUGE congratulations to the incredible Peter Gizzi 🩵 Fierce Elegy is a remarkable book and it was so special to celebrate it. Still pinching myself that Lapwing was on that list 💚

Fantastic event at the at RFS last night; the best poetry from 2024 was on showcase, but we are of course rooting for our own @hannahcopley.bsky.social, whose collection 'Lapwing' is as strong a contender as any! 🪽 🪶 🖋️

Congratulations to all the readers tonight at the TS Eliot prize readings and especially @hannahcopley.bsky.social @livunipress.bsky.social

Happy Solstice, all. Hope you're burrowing in whatever way suits your slow-moving & soft-bodied subterranean selves 🪱

Have just finished reading ‘Rhizodont’ by Katrina Porteous, (it’s fantastic) and am now enjoying the notes at the end - a goldmine of fascinating ecological and scientific information!

I’ve written a little piece about my writing process, love of sequences and messy (non) endings. And about how writing ‘Lapwing’ @livunipress.bsky.social felt a bit like holding a lit sparkler 🧨 @poetryschool.bsky.social poetryschool.com/theblog/hann...
