Getting Started

Microscopy meeting alert! I’ll be presenting on low (overall morphology) and high (single cell) resolution 3D imaging+analysis using iDISCO at the SEMS meeting May 14-16 in Columbia, SC. If you’re also a microscopy enthusiast register here: southeasternmicroscopy.org/2024-meeting...

Out now in @naturecomms.bsky.social! In @graczlab.bsky.social, I’ve had the freedom to ‘follow the science’. Here, I pursued a key interest of mine which is understanding how cells organize to form functional tissues. We found distinct regulation between intrahepatic bile ductules and bile ducts.

Some good news: @hannahhrncir.bsky.social ‘s primary PhD paper is finally online! This study lays the groundwork for a lot of technical and conceptual things the lab is currently working on, including light sheet microscopy for imaging entire biliary trees in mouse liver: rdcu.be/d90Br 1/4

Some fun imaging using iDISCO and spinning disk confocal microscopy 📸

If you are female PhD faculty in #GIresearch ( #basicscience or #translational), we invite you to join WINGS, Women Innovating in Gastrointestinal Science, a community for career development, mentorship & networking. Please fill out the form on our website and RT! bit.ly/4fHBWfj #GISky #Gastrosky

Science + construction paper 🙌

Even though there are great #devbio and #biophysics starter packs, I felt #morphogenesis & #organogenesis was missing as a subfield :D Far from complete or full. Tell me if you want to be added! go.bsky.app/PB6s8PQ

Some Gracz Lab members are joining the great migration to Bluesky! Welcome to @hannahhrncir.bsky.social and @nicjanto.bsky.social. Both are 4th year PhD students with awesome manuscripts currently in revisions!
