🌟 Jesus is the Light 🌟 "I am the light of the world." (John 8:12) 🙏 Pray for guidance during Lent. Reflect on moments of darkness and ask Jesus’ light to guide your path. ✨ #JesusIsTheLight #Lent #Guidance #Faith #Hope

🍞 Dependence on God 🍞 "Man shall not live by bread alone." (Matthew 4:4) 🙏 Reflect on what you truly need. Share a meal with loved ones and discuss how to depend on God more daily. 💬 #DependenceOnGod #Faith #Matthew4 #GodProvides

🌿 Cleansing and Renewal 🌿 "Create in me a clean heart, O God." (Psalm 51:10) 💧 Wash your hands or refresh with a face wash, symbolising spiritual renewal. Pray for a clean heart and renewed spirit. 🙏✨ #SpiritualRenewal #Cleansing #Faith #Psalm51 #GodsGrace

🕊️ Listening to God's Word 🕊️ "All Scripture is God-breathed..." (2 Timothy 3:16) 📖 Spend 5 mins reading a favourite passage. Or, read a Gospel passage aloud and reflect on Jesus’ teaching. ✨ #GodsWord #Bible #Faith #Reflection

Today, we hear the solemn words: "Remember you are dust, and to dust you shall return." (Gen 3:19) What is something you want to let go of this Lent? Write it down, draw it, or simply hold it in prayer as we journey towards renewal. #AshWednesday #Lent #Repentance

Today is Shrove Tuesday (aka Pancake day). Which means tomorrow is Ash Wednesday and the start of Lent. Join Lego Jesus for a reflective journey through Lent, all the way to Easter.

We are delighted to announce we will be welcoming a curate into the Team! Hannah Morris will be joining us as our new Assistant Curate from this summer. Following her ordination as deacon at Norwich Cathedral on Sunday, 29th June, she will begin her ministry with us here in Flegg Parish Churches.

The journey is complete! The Wisemen have arrived, offering gold, frankincense, and myrrh to Jesus. May their perseverance inspire us to seek Christ and offer Him our best. "On entering the house, they saw the child with Mary his mother; and they knelt down and paid him homage."(Matt. 2:11)

The Wandering Wisemen seem to be going nuts as they journey closer to the star! Hold on... Epiphany is nearly here! 🌟 "I went down to the nut orchard, to look at the blossoms of the valley, to see whether the vines had budded, whether the pomegranates were in bloom." (Song of Solomon 6:11)

"Choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve..." (Joshua 24:15). Will it be the fruit of the Spirit or the sweetness of indulgence? The Wise Men ponder their options! #wanderingwisemen #followthestar

The Wandering Wisemen found a cracker today… and nearly started a party! They're so close to Bethlehem that they can almost hear the shepherds singing. Hang on, lads, not long now! "When they saw the star, they rejoiced exceedingly with great joy." Matthew 2:10 #wanderingwisemen #followthestar

The Wandering Wisemen found a crown too big for them, just like following Jesus can feel. Yet He calls us to wear our crowns with humility, love, and service. How will you follow His example today? "Blessed is the one who endures temptation... and will receive the crown of life." James 1:12

As we step into this new year, let the message of love guide our path: 'And all who live in love live in God, and God lives in them' (1 John 4:16). May our hearts be filled with love and compassion, reflecting the light of Christ in all we do. Happy New Year 2025! #wanderingwisemen #followthestar

They've tucked themselves in for a quick nap under a sparkling sky. The road to Bethlehem can wait... just five more minutes! “He gives to his beloved sleep.” (Psalm 127:2b) #wanderingwisemen #followthestar

The Wandering Wisemen pause to admire the heavenly view. Even on a journey, reflection brings light. Their guide shines brighter than ever! “Lift up your eyes on high and see: who created these? He who brings out their host by number, calling them all by name.” (Isaiah 40:26) #wanderingwisemen

After all this travelling, the Wandering Wisemen have learned two things: camels don’t give great hugs, and a good hug can make even the longest journey better. So hug someone today...just maybe not a camel! "Above all, love each other deeply." (1 Peter 4:8) #wanderingwisemen #followthestar

Even on the road to Bethlehem, we knew this day would come: a wise one’s birthday! Happy Birthday, Clara, from the Wandering Wisemen, may your wisdom grow with each year! 🎂 'Teach us to count our days that we may gain a wise heart.' (Ps. 90:12)

The Wisemen took the high road...literally! Walking the tightrope of faith isn’t for the faint of heart, but every step brings them closer to Jesus. "Blessed are those whose strength is in you, in whose heart are the highways to Zion." Psalm 84:5 #wanderingwisemen #followthestar

After all that hiding from Herod, they're still like three peas in a pod... though the camel is starting to feel a bit squashed! ''For just as the body is one and has many members, and all the members of the body, though many, are one body, so it is with Christ."(1 Cor 12:12) The search goes on!

Bethlehem news: Baby in a stable, stunned shepherds, singing angels, and a frazzled innkeeper. Wise travellers still lost... no GPS! "For unto us a child is born..." (Isaiah 9:6) Merry Christmas! May the joy and peace of the nativity fill your hearts this season and always.

The wandering Wisemen, clever as they were with stars, seemed less adept at hide-and-seek. Hiding from Herod was no easy task, I suppose, especially with all that frankincense and myrrh attracting attention… ‘You are my hiding place and my shield; I hope in your word.’ (Psalm 119:114)

The Wisemen followed the star with wonder, but let’s be real, they didn’t expect to meet a reindeer! Camels, yes. Sandstorms, sure. But a reindeer? Still, they trusted the star to lead them to something greater. “They set out; and there, ahead of them, went the star…” (Matt 2:9b) #followthestar

On this longest night, as darkness seems to linger, the Wandering Wisemen move closer to the light, reminding us of the hope and promise that shines even in the deepest shadows. "The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not overcome it." (John 1:5)

The Wisemen found a candy cane that tells us a story: the shepherds who came to see Jesus and the 'J' for His name. Its stripes remind us of His great love and sacrifice. "I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep." (John 10:11)

Frosted Flakes and an Abominable Snowman? They must have taken a wrong turn and ended up in a snowstorm! A frosty adventure before finding the warmth of Bethlehem. "He gives snow like wool; he scatters frost like ashes. He hurls down hail like crumbs, who can stand before his cold?" (Ps 147:16-17)

The Wisemen are having a tricky time tonight.🤣 Trying to camp in a tent made of biscuits sounds like a recipe for crumbs and chaos, doesn't it? "O Lord, who may abide in your tent? ... Those who walk blamelessly, and do what is right, and speak the truth from their heart" (Psalms 15:1-2)

They are taking a strategic pause. Camel’s move has thrown them into deep contemplation... Who knew noughts and crosses could be this intense? 🤣 "For which of you, intending to build a tower, does not first sit down and estimate the cost, to see whether he has enough to complete it?" (Luke 14:28)

The Wise Men have found a bell to join in the heavenly celebration: “Ding dong merrily on high, in heav'n the bells are ringing; Ding dong verily the sky is riv'n with angels singing.” “Glory to God in the highest heaven, and on earth peace among those whom he favours!” (Luke 2:14)

Bethlehem, but it looks like someone’s taken a crocodile and a lion for a ride. Wise men know it’s not about speed, it’s about where you’re going! "Let us run with perseverance the race that is set before us, looking to Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of our faith." (Hebrews 12:1-2)

The Wandering Wisemen have stopped for a refreshing treat at the smoothie bar! After such a long journey, even wise travellers need to refuel and recharge. "Come to me, all you that are weary and are carrying heavy burdens, and I will give you rest." (Matthew 11:28)

When on a journey, teamwork makes things easier... unless someone ties you up in knots! "Two are better than one, because they have a good reward for their toil. For if they fall, one will lift up the other; but woe to one who is alone and falls and does not have another to help." (Eccl 4:9-10)

Their journey wasn’t just about following a star, they poured over maps and ancient texts, seeking the way to Bethlehem with diligence and faithfulness. “Where is the child who has been born king of the Jews? For we observed his star at its rising, and have come to pay him homage.” (Matt 2:1-2)

Tonight they’re spicing things up! Coriander, ginger, and cinnamon might not make it into scripture, but they can make Christmas baking heavenly. What gift will you offer the King this season? "They opened their treasure chests, offering him gifts of gold, frankincense, and myrrh." (Matt 2:11)

The Wisemen’s journey takes unexpected paths… As they climb, they fix their eyes on the star, a light guiding them to Jesus. May we follow God’s signs, trusting Him to lead us to His presence. "When they saw that the star had stopped, they were overwhelmed with joy." (Matt 2:10)

The Wisemen show us that simple acts of kindness—holding a door, sharing a kind word, or a smile—can brighten the world. Let’s do the same! "Let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven." (Matt: 5:16) #wanderingwisemen

The Wisemen tried baking banana bread, but without a recipe or oven, they realised they needed divine help. Bringing gold, frankincense, and myrrh is far easier than perfecting baked goods! "Jesus said to them, 'I am the bread of life.' " (John 6:35) (Banana bread clearly wasn’t happening.)

The Wisemen found themselves navigating a tricky challenge. Each step in their journey required careful balance and trust in one another to reach their goal. Though their path was uncertain, they pressed on with faith, determined to seek the King. (Proverbs 3:5-6)

Camp life requires a cosy tent after all those miles. "Let me abide in your tent forever, find refuge under the shelter of your wings" (Psalms 61:4) #wanderingwisemen #followthestar #jesusisthereasonfortheseason

The Wandering Wisemen came across St Nicolas and his helper who left yummie goodies and gifts for everyone in the house. “Or who has given a gift to him, to receive a gift in return?” (Romans 11:25) #wanderingwisemen #followthestar #stnicolas

After all that dusty travel, a bit of cleanup never hurts and a good soak for the weary feet. “he restores my soul. He leads me in right paths for his name's sake.” (Psalm 23:3) #wanderingwisemen #followthestar #reasonfortheseason

The Wandering Wisemen havee brought their gifts for Jesus, but they’re still figuring out the wrapping part! 🤣 “Every generous act of giving, with every perfect gift, is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow due to change” (James 1:17)

Sometimes, the Wandering Wisemen come up with creative solutions for elevation on their journey! “Humble yourselves before the Lord, and he will lift you up.” (James 4:10) #wanderingwisemen #followthestar #jesusisthereasonfortheseason

Long journeys need fuel, right? (A reminder to “feed our souls” with good things.) "He provides food for those who fear him; he is ever mindful of his covenant.” (Psalm 111:5) #wanderingwisemen #followthestar #jesusisthereasonfortheseason

The Wisemen are on a journey with some interesting travel options! 😉 "When they had heard the king, they set out; and there, ahead of them, went the star that they had seen at its rising, until it stopped over the place where the child was." (Matthew 2:9)

Looking forward to the start of our Advent journey with the Wandering Wisemen, who will begin their journey to the stable tomorrow. Our new shepherd with his sheep and his trusted sheep dog are already keeping the watch. #wanderingwisemen #followthestar #jesusisthereasonfortheseason
