Interesting to read that Microsoft is closing down Skype in May, given that they happily took £30 from my credit card last week to renew my Skype number for another year. I'm sure I'll get a nice explanation in due course of just how little they care about my pathetic little life.

The death of Skype - something back in its heyday many of us used - is just another good product killed by tech arrogance. At its peak it had 500m users. Microsoft paid about $8bn for it. Yet another minnow that grew, taken over by a co that didnt understand it, and killed it.
