This gets vote for the coolest film stock name. It’s a black and white film discontinued about 30 years ago.

I still don’t understand how you break ground when it’s -35C/-31F, but when your workplace starts leaking, it’s nice to have the town leap into action.

This has been a really cold winter. It’s -21F/-29C, and I have to walk the dog soon, because it’s due to get colder. Ugh!

My time with this little pal is going well!

I will be watching this guy for a few weeks. He’s a good boy!

I shared my desk at work today.

Pretty sunset tonight.

So many defunct film companies had great packaging. Here are some gems that came across my desk.

Film canister creatures! I brought this craft project to our local library to consume my surplus, and it was a successful day.

Tried to catch the sun dogs in the sky this morning.

I souped up my mother’s nativity set. Happy holidays & best wishes for a peaceful new year!

Visited “Ian’s Lights” just south of McLean, SK. It’s one man’s winter wonderland- a big bright spectacle!

Spending the afternoon at the local high school, hoping for a surreal adventure!

To hell with personality tests, what is your Star Trek shows ranking? 1) TNG 2) TOS 3) Galaxy Quest (I will not deny the power of Grabthar’s hammer!) 4) DS9 5) Voyager 6) TAS 7) everything else- I’ve been dreadful at keeping up with the latest and possibly greatest

Public art that I love in Regina, Saskatchewan. “Western Spirit” by Robert Dow Reid.

A heap of home movies going into the darkroom. Hoping we recover images from every reel!

A trio of gorgeous alpacas from Agribition.

One of Saskatchewan’s big events is AGRIBITION, a giant farm expo and rodeo. Here’s a peek at some of this year’s sights. (The sign’s text is in the descriptive alt text, if that’s easier to read.)

Global warming is real, and a serious threat to our climate. Having said that, I did not need this much snow in my life. Here it is by night and by day.

I’m going to start referring to all voice recordings as “LIVING LETTERS”. Bravo to the magnetic tape employee who thought of that!

Post a perfect album from the 90s that isn’t Nirvana, Pearl Jam, Soundgarden, or Alice In Chains

My appreciation of Slim Goodbody has no end. Here he delves into foot education! youtu.be/M7qRNufxXBY?...

The world is on fire, and I’m busy with old treasures. Two camps love the “ultra-miniature” Kiku film format: 1) the ones who call it Toy Film, and 2) the ones who call it Spy Film. Only one group takes it seriously.

Stole this from my friend Dave whose amazing comics are sold here: paskettiwestern.gumroad.com

Nov 11 is Remembrance Day in Canada, a time to remember Canada’s veterans, the fallen, and those still in service to our country. Bessie Heaslip served in Canada’s Air Force in the 1940s.

People like my old film posts! These 120-format rolls are on my desk today. I’ll give a special shout out to the Kodak Tri-X roll. After 14 years in other formats, November 1954 is when Kodak launched Tri-X in 35mm and 120 formats. Happy 70th birthday to the most popular Tri-X formats! Woo hoo!

This film expired before WWII ended! We’re going to try to recover whatever is on there at my workplace.

The weather in my corner of Saskatchewan is getting colder and colder. I have been taking long walks to enjoy the outdoors before the ground becomes a glaring sheet of ice & the air stings my face with frost.

It’s me at a football game, wearing the colours of the Saskatchewan Roughriders! (I do look a bit nervous, but I had fun)

Two spooky but not downright horrific Halloween movies, borrowed from the library. I enjoyed both!

Spooky season has come to the Ace Hardware store

Enjoy this Halloween advent calendar of videos & treats: www.gothtober.com

I never thought of this! I’ll keep it in mind.
