Another example of why traditional media (which adheres to long-standing journalistic standards) cannot compete w/ the right wing media sphere, which plays by completely different rules. It's a completely asymmetric playing field. The left can't compete by relying on traditional media for messaging.

I think it's pretty simple. Vance reasons, probably correctly, that if TV machines are blaring the words "Biden" "old" "cancer" "coverup" "decorum" that's good for Republicans and bad for Dems. It's easy for him to take the hit for being an asshole because most people already think he's an asshole.

Yup. They will desperately try to make sure AOC isn't considered a serious candidate, then if she is anyway, try to paint her as an extremist, then if she wins the nomination, will try to run a third party spoiler against her to ensure she doesn't win. Coverage will be relentlessly negative.
