Kloster Irsee in the Allgäu region of Bavaria was founded in the 12th century and is notable for having not one, but two 'catacomb saints'. Saints Candidus and Eugenius - supposed holy remains brought from Rome - were covered in jewels and armour. It also has a spectacular boat-shaped pulpit!
