I think some people hear “grants” and think that without them, scientists and government workers just have less stuff to play with at work. But grants fund salaries for students, academics, researchers, and people who work in all areas of public service. “Pausing” grants means people don’t eat.

Nach längerer Pause gestern mal wieder im Theater: Faust 1&2 im Schauspiel Frankfurt, Regie Jan-Christoph Gockel, mit “Kommissar Brix” als Mephisto. 4h modernes, multimediales, sehr kurzweiliges Theater. Textkenntnis hilft, kann aber durch die Einführung ersetzt werden. Wieder im März & April.

Great news today: cKIT inhibitor M4205 aka IDRx-42 (discovered in our medicinal chemistry labs at @merckgroup.bsky.social) found a new home. Our fingers continue to be crossed that the compound will make a difference for GIST patients. New therapies are urgently needed! Congrats to the IDRx team!
