“If you're not careful, the newspapers will have you hating the people who are being oppressed, and loving the people who are doing the oppressing.” A classic quote from Malcolm X, who was assassinated 60 years ago today.

There's literally a movie about social media company owner who gives people free internet, implants chips into people, and tries to take over the world by getting all the wealthy and politicians on board.

And I am an ally. If you are too, let the world know.

Goodnight friends ❤️ Get some sleep. Every day, I give up for twenty minutes but decide to push through on the twenty-first. Survival is a ritual, a ceremony, and a practice. Rudy Francisco, Excuse Me as I Kiss the Sky

I love Martha Wells' Murderbot stories. I am very excited to see this show! If you would enjoy stories about a snarky security cyborg who hacks its control module to become a free agent, but who mostly wants to be left alone to watch its shows, you will love it. Also a great diverse character list!

Same!

Do not mess with librarians. They let complete strangers borrow their books. For a living. Even the hardcovers. They are so much stronger than you know.

Make Serfdom Great Again

The only way armored Teslas make sense is if you give them away free to the enemy.

If you've ever used the Polity data, read this from Monty Marshall. tl;dr Polity is coding recent US events as an executive self-coup and an adverse regime change.

Happy Hump Day! 🐫 I hope your week is going well. Conserve any energy that you can. If you need to stop ingesting news for a couple of days, do it! We cannot allow this monster to exhaust us to the point of giving up. This is unfortunately a marathon. ❤️

"How shall a man judge what to do in such times?" "As he ever has judged," said Aragorn. "Good and ill have not changed since yesteryear."

When tyranny becomes law, rebellion becomes duty.

If DOGE was really looking for fraud, wouldn't they have hired accountants instead of programmers?

Great point.

Letting grief wash over me this weekend and holding these words by Langston Hughes dear:

Morning all this #SocialistSunday!
