1/ Van Hollen traveling to El Salvador is purely performative. Nothing substantive will change as a direct result: Garcia won't go free, the administration won't stop disappearing anyone, and El Salvador won't stop taking them. But going is STILL THE RIGHT THING TO DO

Constituents to Chuck Grassley: "Are you bringing back that guy from El Salvador?" Senior Citizen: “If I get an order to pay a ticket to pay $1200 and I just say ‘no’, does that stand up? Because he just got an order from the Supreme Court and he just said ‘screw it’” “I’M PISSED!”

Abrego Garcia's wife: "I will not stop fighting until I see my husband alive. Kilmar, if you can hear me, stay strong. God hasn't forgotten about you. Our children are asking when you will come home ... they miss their dad so much."

Dictators disappear people – that’s what they do. The Supreme Court ordered Trump to work to bring Kilmar Armando Abrego Garcia home to his family + three kids in a 9-0 unanimous decision. Trump’s defying that order and refusing to take responsibility for his mistake. That’s complete lawlessness.

Shout out to Berine, to AOC, to Corey Booker, to Jamie Raskin, to Chris Van Hollen, to Jasmie Crockett, to Chris Murphy and a few others... When you show you are willing to fight for us, we will rally behind you! Keep it up! This moment calls for fighters, not career "politicians" #FORTHEPEOPLE

I cannot convey enough how grateful I am to the millions of you all supporting us with your time, resources, and energy. Your support has allowed us to rally people together at record scale to organize their communities. All with an average donation of $21. THANK YOU & Pa’lante 🙏🏽♥️

🚨 April 19 is happening — and it’s more than just a protest. Yes, people will be in the streets again. Others will be organizing food drives, volunteering at shelters, hosting teach-ins, and finding other creative ways to show up for their communities and push back against this administration.

Due process rights are fundamental to our nation–Trump taking them away from one person, is a threat to every one.

Trump’s State Department found no evidence linking Rumeysa Ozturk to antisemitic activity or terrorism, but ICE snatched her off the street and dispatched her to a prison 1,000 miles away with no hearing. This is a hallmark of fascist regimes and utterly incompatible with Due Process.

Trump to Bukele on building concentration camps for US citizens after making the Supreme Court obsolete: "Home-growns are next. The home-growns. You gotta build about five more places. It's not big enough." The whole room laughs. (via @atrupar)

What if, purely hypothetically, Stephen Miller was the guy who ordered flights to go even in spite of Boasberg's order on March 15. What if, also hypothetically, not all the people on the third plane had deportation orders? Does Abrego Garcia even? What if there are 50 more like him?

Constitutional crisis ✨

Hard not to be a "PANICAN" when led by someone suffering from severe mental illness

What a day. What a country! 💪

The Hands Off Rallies in small town America will have the greatest impact showing that this movement has grassroots momentum! Solidarity from Canada to all the resisters out there. We are behind you 💯!

If the #handsoff protests were bigger than what WE expected just imagine what THEY think. They want us to bow to a King and today a lot of us said no. Keep it up folks.

TODAY WE MOBILIZED OVER 3 MILLION PEOPLE ACROSS THE NATION!!! This movement has entered the next chapter: the people will mobilize again, and again, until we make a difference. It only takes 3.5% of the population in a sustained resistance in order to make a difference. #50501movement

Democratic House Rep. Eric Swalwell at the Hands Off! rally in Washington, D.C.: "This is what kicking the sh*t out of fascism looks like." 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
