Super excited to see this: "Nintendo Joins Cross-Industry Effort 'Accessible Games Initiative' As Founding Member" 🔗https://www.nintendolife.com/news/2025/03/nintendo-joins-cross-industry-effort-accessible-games-initiative-as-founding-member

A fantastic 3 days w/the Neurodiversity Project team, Uni of Melbourne – @hattdesigns.bsky.social, Jessica Riordan & Sarah Timperley. Grateful to Uni of Michigan & NTPU colleague who joined us online; and 4 support & interest from Leeds colleagues! Warm thanks! www.linkedin.com/posts/anghar...

@hattdesigns.bsky.social Hi Matt, I was at the ND Group Launch at MQ Uni last year when you spoke about your project at Uni Melb. I'm currently doing a study on autism discourse on social media--would you be willing to take a look at/pass along this survey? Many thanks! redcap.link/pcoirhhc

We are new to BlueSky! We research people & things in their contexts. Follow us for Centre & members' updates. ICYMI we welcomed @hattdesigns.bsky.social Sarah Timperley & Jessica Riordan to share their Neurodiversity Project on neurodivergent students & staff (see unimelb.edu.au/neurodiversity)!

Had the privilege of meeting @hattdesigns.bsky.social, Jess, & Sarah from Uni Melb Neurodiversity Project (www.unimelb.edu.au/neurodiversity) on Friday. A wonderful valentine’s day spent hearing about the excellent work this team is doing, and getting to know one another over good food and coffee 🤓

Wonderful visiting the University of Portsmouth, hearing about their neurodiversity-affirming research & sharing our student and staff needs analysis data from the University of Melbourne Neurodiversity Project. @drstevenkapp.bsky.social 🚂Next stop: visiting @angharadbeckett.bsky.social. Yay!

Good to welcome @hattdesigns.bsky.social Sarah Timperley and Jessica Riordan to Portsmouth to learn about the exciting findings of the University of Melbourne Neurodiversity Project. On Valentine’s Day good to show love for neurodivergent students and staff! www.unimelb.edu.au/neurodiversity

Hey Katie, what did you do for #ValentinesDay? I went for Vietnamese food with some fab autism researchers, of course! @drstevenkapp.bsky.social @elinorlim.bsky.social @hattdesigns.bsky.social

We have a new member of the Neurodiversity Project team and I have a new co-author - Franklin Cuddlesworth has officially joined our team and is showing a real aptitude for data analysis (he is very inquisitive) and community engagement (he's a good listener).

‘Work adjacent’: I went to Brickvention today with some colleagues and it was pretty wonderful. Amazing Lego creations. The classic Donkey Kong machine was my favourite (but it was close!).

From the ABC: "Australia now has a national autism strategy. Here's what's in it and why it's needed" 🔗https://www.abc.net.au/news/2025-01-13/national-autism-strategy-released-employment-inclusion-health/104792744

Happy holidays/Merry Christmas to my professional network. This has been a wild year and I've had the chance to work with many, many brilliant people so thank you. I'm excited to have a break, spend time with family and friends and get ready for whatever 2025 brings. [Image from anon but I love it]

Thanks Oliver - it was a wonderful morning for me too!

Great article from Dr. Aspasia Stacey Rabba and a host of other wonderful researchers: "‘I’m sick of being the problem’: Autistic mothers’ experiences of interacting with schools for their autistic children" 🔗https://journals.sagepub.com/doi/pdf/10.1177/13623613241297223

@hattdesigns.bsky.social and @jessrowlings.bsky.social sharing their research and experiences with neurodivergent learners and games in education! Developing social norms in game scenarios allows for inclusive learning through games. #DigiCon24

Proud to represent the Next Level Collaboration (c/f @jessrowlings.bsky.social) at the UniMelb 'Started@Melbourne' Showcase, an annual event showcasing startups emerging from the our innovation ecosystem. Thanks to Ken Jefferd & Hon. Jaala Pulford for hosting, and Mark Cassidy for the warm welcome.

My first post on Bluesky: Hello world! Reach out if you have an interest in social inclusion in schools, neurodiversity or retro video games (three of my areas of passion). Also open to cat or dog chat.
