Does anyone ever reply to a spam email anymore?

Scammers are going to be the death to us all. I want to respond to the survey I received, and make a donation, but there is no possible way for me to know if it’s a scam or real. So I do nothing and feel bad.

Why is it, when a company gets to a certain size, it stops caring about the people who got them there? It seems inevitable that at some point clients/customers come 3rd or 4th behind money and power. It's like the company becomes evil of its own accord once it gets past some number.
