How can people be this stupid about economic migrants? You're just stopping people doing jobs that no locals are doing. So the food won't get picked, and it'll get more expensive for the people you're trying to protect. The ones that weren't having these jobs stolen. It seems like a hugely...

I'm burning with metaphors: Dumpster fire, scorched earth policy and people "fighting fires" at work. Then of course there's the feeling this is a wider metaphor for the USA. The world, even.
