If you're #autistic what made you think you weren't autistic 'enough'? And what made you realise you are?

I've been recollecting the vinyl that was thrown away (not by me) after my dad died (that I bought aged 12-19). Any perfect Christmas albums from your pount of view?

I have never put #autistic in my bio before. Not becsuse I'm not accepting of it. I just never saw myself as autistic 'enough'. I felt like I was taking someone else's legitimate autistic space. But it turns out it is who I am, how I do things, how I think, what I can manage, achieve & be. New Era.

Bert (from the movie not the books) remains Top of the Man Pops.

Do you prefer odd or even numbers, or no preference? Do you know why or do you just accept it as a thing?

I'm looking for Christmas book recommendations for me to read over next month... books that sit across genres - combinations ir nash ups if possible - but anythimg that's either set at Christmas or is Christmas themed and will make me feel sonething or think (or even better, both).

If you love a Christmas Mystery set between Christmas Eve and Christmas Day that has secrets, lies, and peers behind the doors of one Norwich street you should definitely buy my Christmas novel One Christmas Night. Includes Baby Cham references. And a cat. uk.bookshop.org/p/books/one-...

I've been quiet this morning because I've been setting up The Berties in the other place and on instagram. This list is filled up with your nominations, prize winners and some of our favourite books of the year. You then vote! We can't do votes on bluesky yet, but I'm going to reveal the titles.

What makes a memoir ‘true’? Why do we look to fiction for facts? How does autofiction destabilise the very notion of a true story? Is any of this important now? I made a series for the BBC asking all these questions. Whose truth is it anyway? www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/m...

Please tell me I’ve come to the right place…

My map of children's independent bookshops is updated regularly. Most provide an online service and they're all run by people who can make well-informed book recommendations. Make sure you support your local one if you want to keep it. Any missing, please let me know. padlet.com/Jon_Biddle/r...

Are you a writer looking for a developmental #editor? I have excellent reviews/ recommendations. I work with traditionally published and self published authors getting their work to be the best it can be. I also review opening 3 chapters for submission. Range of prices/ services. DM enquiries.
