tonight's sewing project is the Bestie Bag by Blackbird Fabrics in dusty blue canvas and soft pink satin. Sadly I keep doing something weird with my bobbin so I have given up on this for tonight. Will try re-winding the thing tomorrow.

Disability benefits aren’t “extra” money. They’re the bare minimum to survive in a world that disables us—through poverty, inaccessibility, and neglect. Cutting them isn’t reform. It’s state-sanctioned harm. Please support us. #DisabilityBenefits #WelfareNotWorkfare

I pray you’ll read my latest. We are being challenged as a nation and this is a test we must pass. open.substack.com/pub/sherrily...

This is an extraordinarily good article and reflects so much of my own experience. When you grow up in constant pain, it turns out you think that’s normal when it definitely is not. So much about my life suddenly made sense when I started to figure all this out.

Attempts to re-normalize the r-word are the perfect encapsulation of how shallow anti-wokeness has always been. The desperate need to claw back some cringe casual bigotry without having to acknowledge how understandable it is that ethical people want nothing to do with your regressive trash behavior

It is similar to some christians who tell disabled people that they would be healed if only they let Christ into their hearts. When no healing occurs, they tell us that we obviously don’t have enough faith. Cannot win.

This thread by the Congressman is a lie, and we should primary Democrats who lie to people about the content of statutes. Here is the section on documentary proof from the SAVE Act.

Very helpful for Trump to publicly concede that he has the power to bring him back if he wants to.

Closes tonight, please leave a comment in support of trans healthcare

During Abrego Garcia hearing right now, Judge Xinis asks the DOJ attorney (Drew Ensign) where is Mr. Abrego Garcia. Ensign: I don't have that info. My clients haven't given me that info as of today. Judge Xinis: Where is he? Ensign: I don't have that info.

HAPPENING NOW: Following the Supreme Court's decision requiring the government to "facilitate" the release of Abrego Garcia, a hearing before Judge Paula Xinis is about to begin. I'm in Greenbelt, Maryland for @lawfare.bsky.social Follow along for updates

Four Democrats voted for this shit. What is the point of these people.

BREAKING: As expected, and consistent with all the PROOF reporting from the past week, the Trump administration has now _refused to follow court orders_ in the Abrego Garcia case. Major media misinformed the public by telling them that the Supreme Court ruling in the case was a win for rule of law.

my maniacal laughter can be heard from space

The CDC's cruise ship inspectors have been laid off, as well as agency's head epidemiologist for investigating cruise ship outbreaks That baffled health officials since this program is paid for by cruise ship fees, not taxpayer dollars www.cbsnews.com/news/cdc-cru...

#ResistanceRoots #ResistanceUnited #Voices4Victory The SAVE Act is the latest attempt to prevent eligible Americans from voting. It would require voters to prove their eligibility when registering to vote by appearing in person and presenting a birth certificate or passport. But there’s a catch. /1

The SAVE Act, a.k.a the Save the Republicans' Asses Act, is a shameless attempt to block Americans—especially married women—from voting. Requiring birth certificates to cast a ballot? That’s not election security. That’s voter suppression.

"Democrats who voted for the bill were Jared Golden (Maine), Marie Gluesenkamp Perez (Wash.), Henry Cuellar (Texas) and Ed Case (Hawaii)." Shameful.

huge news from @robinsonmeyer.bsky.social on the coming bloodbath at the energy department more than 2,500 agency staff asking to resign via buyouts would gut agency programs read the full story and share it widely please heatmap.news/politics/doe...

In addition to kidnapping people, we're now detaining their lawyers.

NEW: Today, the House will vote on the SAVE Act, a bill that would disenfranchise millions of voters. As Rep. Terri Sewell (D-AL) states, “this bill is not about protecting our elections, it’s about making it harder for Americans to vote and easier for Republicans to win.”

basically go check out every book @hillarymonahan.bsky.social has written - I think I've read them all and I have enjoyed them all. Always sad when I manage to read through all of an author's books.

since everyone is mad at john roberts, here's more fuel for that fire

Substack isn't even WORTH IT. If the Nazis don't put you off. Maybe this will. ⬇️

If Kristi Noem was able to fly to that torture camp in El Salvador and film a photo op in front of hundreds of caged prisoners, she or the president can certainly get on a goddamn plane to that same prison right now and retrieve a father they sent there by "mistake."

No one I know is against having full supply chains for meds happen in the US. There are already shortages that happen due to international supply chain issues. But, the sudden surge in cost and shortages hurts chronically ill and disabled people.
