160 years ago, on the 19th of June 1865, Major General Gordon Granger ordered the final enforcement of the Emancipation Proclamation in Texas at the end of the American Civil War. June 19th, or Juneteenth, has been a federal holiday in the U.S. since 2021. (Picture from 1880's)

DA confirms they will go to the grand jury to seek first degree murder charges after they have time to review evidence. Under Minn. Law, 2nd degree was the highest charge they could bring by complaint (w/o GJ) & they needed charges to get the arrest warrant they used Sunday night.

In 2010 my husband was coming home from Afghanistan. A young soldier who broke opsec by telling his SO the exact date they were expected home. Command found out and they were all delayed by a week over fears they would be attacked as they left country. Of course #SignalGate info was classified.
