Grabbed at his appointment to become a citizen. Is this who we are? 😕🇺🇸

The Labour leadership is paralysed regarding the EU because of fear of Farage, the Brexit press, and the red wall. If Farage does well in the local elections that paralysis will get worse. That's why we need the biggest possible #Vote4Democracy in the local elections. Please join in the campaign

Very bad BBC headline on analysis of a significant meeting. This disregards what was news as two leaders met at heart of a constitutional clash Instead promotes "were the reporters expectations disrupted". That is of much less importance to world or interest to audiences than to a reporters lobby

“Evil, I think, is the absence of empathy,” said Captain G M Gilbert, the army psychologist assigned to watching the Nazis on trial at Nuremberg. Just in case you were wondering what to call it.

BBC Laura K still is putting Farage on regularly…

Because lots of people seem confused about this, there are a ton of non-ableist words you can use to describe what’s going on and who’s in charge. I happen to like the profane ones, but there are more. Willful ignorance! Ludicrous! Ridiculous! Patently wrong! Evil! Harmful! Dangerous! Foolish!

I no longer want to hear about corruption in Russia, China, Iran, North Korea or Venezuela, England is the cradle of corruption. London or one of the country’s overseas colonies is where the world launders its illicit money. This country wrote the guidelines on corruption, then sold it to the world.

This was great, largely because there is some positivity about Europe that made me feel less gloomy ahead of the weekend 🎉

Here’s a clip from our #BigTech webinar with The Citizens. We do not have to fear the tech bros. We can investigate, expose & challenge them. For the sake of democracy, we must! 100 citizen journalists joined this event to learn how. They need your support - check the next post. #CitizenJournalism

I can guarentee you that if the Green Party had the same Media coverage as Reform they would be top of the polls and Reform would be nowhere.

Ah lovely. Another bag of rubbish gets tipped into the House of Lords. The place must absolutely reek of stale Tory failure, corruption and abuse of power. Honours handed out like sweeties to some of the most undeserving, underachieving, overpromoted clowns and liars to have ever held public office.

This carnival of bullshit must end. There's a change to reform the Lords immediately, through amendments at report stage. Peers should grasp it. Make these the last resignation peerages inews.co.uk/opinion/labo...

One man is standing up for the rule of law in Britain. His reward is to be savagely attacked by right wing think tanks, newspapers & politicians. They understand where the battle against populism is taking place. And they've marshalled their forces accordingly. iandunt.substack.com/p/a-good-man...

This should be shared widely. @carolecadwalla.bsky.social is unbelievably brave going back to TED and her words as powerful and vital as ever. Carole's palpable - entirely - justified - nervousness adds to the sense of urgency, which we should all be feeling.

Amazing. After nearly losing her house, and being locked away in a legal battle for years because of one innocuous line in her last TED Talk, @carolecadwalla.bsky.social returns to the Lion’s Den, and calls out the Broligarchs This Is What a Digital Coup Looks Like youtu.be/TZOoT8AbkNE?...

You know what’s sad? How much Dead Man would have enjoyed the last few days - Brexit bonus, endless manufacturing propaganda, Art of the Deal… Heartbreaking really.
