To debug my #RealityKit SwiftUI, I built myself a scene inspector / debugger. My plan is to actually release this as a small app / product, it even has an awesome icon already. I "just" have to find the time to do the boring last 10%.

The animations declared in my variant of #SwiftUI for #RealityKit are actually run by RealityKit itself. I.e. they should have little performance overhead (unlike the real thing, which tends to run animations on the CPU).

Recycling some old DeclarityKit content from Mastodon #RealityKit AnyLayout`. It lets you switch layouts and hence reposition objects in space. I've seen it in the field guide and wanted to check whether it works in 3D. It just did 😀 www.swiftuifieldguide.com/layout/l

Fun-fact, I only posted this here, because I thought I was on Mastodon, the systems look so similar (I remember being confused because the image controls have been slightly different). However, unlike here, it produced some actual (and useful) interactions on Masto. Better devsite.

Something I miss over here is bookmarking posts, I use that quite a bit on Mastodon.

As far as I can tell the short BSky migration wave seems to be over.
