Biggest blunder in tech history might prove to be Jack handing over Twitter to Elon. X is now being deployed by far right as platform to effect reality distortion, political suppression, anti-science, false blame paradigms, irrational hatred. Indeed I even go so far to say it's mass brainwashing.

Let's do the math : In any given year 5%+ federal work force retires/quits. 3% accepted Musk plan. So 3/5 of the expected annual attrition. Workers given 8 months pay. So it was a deal for anyone already planning to retire in next 8 months. 8/12 = 2/3 of a year.

All Musk "fork in the road" plan has accomplished is to pull forward retirement of those government workers who had set their date in the next 8 months. Why work if you don't have to ? Plus you get a cash payout for the months difference. Net effect is tax dollars wasted.
