Starting playing Tomb Raider 2 on the Switch. Two immediate thoughts. 1. I think that opening cinematic is nearly incomprehensible outside of setting up Lara wanting the dragon dagger/sword. 2. The game is a lot meaner in terms of combat. Way more dudes with guns, and they're tanky as hell.

The Sakamoto Days anime has a few problems (Oh boy why do you have 30 secondary animators guys!?), but if I had to complement it, I think they adapated that one page of Slur pretty well imo. It's not exactly the same vibe, but it gives off a good ominous feeling imo.

Finished Daima. Lots of thoughts. Mostly happy with the ending. The decision to not even try to line things up with Super is interesting, and I'm not really bothered by it. The final episode probably has the coolest Kamahameha in the entire franchise. Thanks for everything Toriyama.

Watching some footage of the original Doom reboot. One of the stranger design choices in that game was you had to do specific executions on certain demons to unluck upgrades. On a game where demons swarm you in numbers, you had to take the time to look at the right foot of a stunned hell knight.

Has Monster Hunter ever explored the idea of a virus spreading, and that's why you gotta put em down? Could make for a decent plot. Go out there and put that poor thing out of its misery. Also explains why these giant creatures are so violent. I guess that might invoke some issues too.

Every single time Yashahime stops and focusing on Moroha over her annoying cousins, it becomes a DRAMATICALLY better show. Moroha is funny and has a real believable problem of being in debt, but it's constantly shoved to the side for loud farting noises
