Arab and Jewish are ethnicities. Islam and Judaism are religions. Most of the Arabs I've known have been Lebanese Christians. Most of the Muslims I've known have been non-Arab Middle-Easterners. Talking about oneself in past tense is the domain and realm of old people.

There used to be a lot of daily commuters between Detroit and Windsor via the Ambassador Bridge or Detroit-Windsor Tunnel. If there still is, I imagine the new DOGE restrictions will crush that commerce with a heavy hand.

For the record, I grew up in northwest Detroit, and mowed lawns all the way from home to east Detroit near 8 Mile Road. There was no such thing as "South Detroit". Of course there was land to the south such as Windsor, Canada, Monroe, Michigan, or Toledo, Ohio.

In The Electric State, my favorite movie atm, the robot brother relies on gestures and inapt speech because his speech is limited to what was scripted in his TV show. Hence he calls his sister Jessie instead of Michelle. Just my guess.
