Trump hated TikTok (because China) until it helped him win an election (as even he acknowledges) and now he’s going to save it and take a victory lap. So he’ll have X, TikTok, Insta, and Facebook all working on his behalf. That’s a big difference between now and 2017.

Let’s be clear: the whole thing is a con. TikTok could’ve kept the app rolling on Sunday but by shutting down & mentioning Trump, he gets to be the savior. One of many examples of companies & billionaires bowing down. It’s BS. But it’s also the reality. Let’s not give Trump anymore opportunities 👍🏾

It’s important to be clear that TikTok could have stayed up through the inauguration. Joe Biden said he’d not enforce the law. They made a choice to shut down and display a pro-Trump message. They weren’t forced to.
