Liberal woman in Alabama—yes, we exist! Talking about the social issues that impact women of our generation: ageism, financial inequality, healthcare bias, shifting family roles. I’ve lived it, I’ve researched it, and I’m probably ranting about it.

Men leak war plans and it’s just “bad judgment.” If even one of them had been a woman, she’d be indicted by now and branded a national security risk. The double standard isn’t an oversight. It’s operating exactly as designed.

After 50, I stopped trying to be liked. I started trying to be clear. I’m not here to shrink. I’m here to build, burn, and begin again. Midlife isn’t a crisis—it’s a reclamation. #VisibleAfter50 #SecondActTruth

Has Trump tried writing an Executive Order to lower egg prices? Seems to be the answer for everything else.

Small businesses in Alabama dodged a bullet with the rejection of SB227. While reform can be necessary, this bill risked adding red tape without real support. Local businesses already operate on thin margins—legislation needs to uplift, not undercut, their ability to thrive.

Katie Britt cheers closing the Dept. of Education while sending her kids to a $40K/year private school. Must be easy to gut public education when your kids are insulated from the fallout. Alabama’s children deserve better than political stunts and hypocrisy

If you’re over 45 and feeling invisible—don’t shrink. We need your voice, your rage, your wisdom. Let’s show them we’re not relics—we’re revolutionaries. Who’s ready to raise hell, not hands? #We’reNotDone

Tommy Tuberville, Michael Flynn, and Charlie Kirk now on the Air Force Academy Board? The MAGA trifecta of incompetence, insurrection, and internet rage. This isn’t about strengthening the military it’s about turning it into a stage for culture wars and conspiracy cosplay.

We desperately need a real opposition party. Standing by in the name of “bipartisanship” while a madman burns everything down isn’t unity—it’s cowardice. Accountability matters more than political niceties.

Spotted in Alabama

We just had 7 tornadoes tear through Alabama killing 3 people and we are at the beginning of the season.

Can we talk about this?

Via @alander.bsky.social: A tornado in Dallas County had winds of 140 mph, according to the National Weather Service.

Alabama’s Catalyst Conference: where women in hard hats and heels are taking over industry. Who says manufacturing isn’t a woman’s world? We’re here to build, lead, and maybe weld a glass ceiling or two. #WomenInIndustry #BossMode #Alaba

Tornadoes ripped through our region last night, leaving devastation in their wake. Many of our neighbors are hurting. If you’re safe, check in on someone. If you can help, please do. Solidarity is survival.

Democrats and Republicans working together to pass the Continuing Resolution? Cute. Meanwhile, everyday Americans are out here playing Survivor: Grocery Store Edition trying to afford eggs. #BipartisanDisappointment #CanWeGetARaiseToo

Being a 50-year-old woman in Alabama means you’re young enough to work forever, old enough for the cashier to call you “ma’am,” and just the right age to be deeply offended by bad biscuits. Also, why is it suddenly so hot all the time?! #SouthernWomen #HotFlashesAndBlessYourHeart

America has experienced a Trump shutdown before – but this damaging legislation only makes matters worse. Democrats must not buy into this false choice. We must fight back for a better way. Listen to the women, For The People,” Pelosi said. thehill.com/homenews/hou...

Alabama has strong Democratic women fighting for real issues: Marilyn Lands (reproductive rights), Merika Coleman (justice reform), Linda Coleman-Madison (women’s healthcare), and Terri Sewell (equal pay & abortion access). Their work matters. #AlabamaLeadership #WomensRights

Alabama women are struggling with low wages, high maternal mortality, and period poverty—but Tommy Tuberville is out here “saving” women’s sports from a problem that barely exists. Imagine working this hard to ignore real issues. 🙃 #DoBetterAlabama #WomensRights

Alabama ranks 46th for women’s quality of life. So if you’re a woman here, congrats—you’re officially doing better than Mississippi. Barely. Between low wages, high maternal mortality, and zero abortion rights, it’s like a game of How Hard Can We Make Existing? #DoBetterAlabama #WomensRights

Sounds like common sense.

Why is it always Alabama?

When I talk to folks who don't keep up with every news story, and I explain what Republicans are trying to do to block married women from voting, they think I've lost it. I sound like I need a tinfoil hat and that's exactly what they want. Just like Russian collusion, if we drop it, they win.

1 in 4 women in Alabama struggle with period poverty—missing school, work, and opportunities because they can’t afford basic menstrual products. Shoutout to Zahara Jolie-Pitt for bringing attention to this in Montgomery. Access to period products isn’t a privilege, it’s a right. #EndPeriodPoverty

🧵I know what the Trump administration is doing to the country because they’ve already done it to rural America. They stripped public schools of funding. They closed our hospitals. They sold family farms for parts. They let our infrastructure rot. And then they gerrymandered us to keep us quiet.

Just read that women in Australia are still doing 50% more housework than men, leading to ‘volcanic levels of resentment.’ Guess it’s time to start a ‘Dishwasher’s Union’ and demand equal chore rights! Who’s with me? 🧼💪 #EqualityAtHome #ChoreRevoluti

Liberal woman in Alabama—yes, we exist! Talking ageism, healthcare bias, financial inequality, and why the thermostat is a gender war. No secret bunker meetings (but if we had them, there’d be wine). Let’s shake things up!”
