When are we gonna get to the part where the Meisterburgers die out and we all have a good laugh?

No, YOU didn't take YOUR Christmas tree down until February 7.

And I got to spend this afternoon with fellow music educators, talking about how to support neurodivergent kiddos in our classrooms. It is so good to feel professionally affirmed and renewed right now.

The world is so terrible for so many reasons, but I got to spend today in community with other progressive early childhood educators from around the city, talking about what we do, why we do it, and how much we love it. So there's that.

Get in, friends.

Fellow NW side residents!

I could use a little joy infusion, so: Like this skeet and I will talk about nice things, and I'd love to hear about yours. 1 like = 1 thing I love

If you can donate to Planned Parenthood of Illinois, now would be a good time www.wbez.org/health-medic...

1. Writer/musician. 2. English/music performance double major. 3. English with a music minor. 4. Early childhood educator/music teacher/musician. And oh, yeah, I DID write a book, too.

I tend to average a book or more a week (I've read five so far in 2025), but I know already that Jandy Nelson's latest, WHEN THE WORLD TIPS OVER, is one of the best I'll read this year.

Chicago: wanna book or host a show with a small but mighty marching band? Clamor & Lace Noise Brigade a band composed solely of--and focusing on music by--people of marginalized genders. We're also known for our shiny costumes, high-energy performances, and commitment to good causes.

Gaiman didn't have a huge influence on me, but other artists who turned out to be monsters certainly did, and this thread is a great read.
