Post a random game Saturday! Here's the Windows 95 version of Thexder, Sierra's update of Game Arts' 1980s PC action mecha classic

I remember briefly following that Udon dude since he had some interesting stories about some old Bravoman game, but noped out immediately after seeing the kind of crap he posted. This was around the height of gamergate so you can probably imagine.

Sorry for the politics post but I just found the principal of my daughter's elementary school dressed as Trump in a MAGA hat today and I am absolutely livid

at some point the swirly glasses girl was obliterated from existence, effectively extinct in the wild since 1999 only a few remain in captivity

Didn't expect this kind of video about Wolfenstein 3D, but I'm glad someone made it. youtu.be/9oiVsys_wbw

Finally archived my old tweets and deleted everything save for a pinned post sending people here. It felt like taking a nice, hot bath.

According to the trophy menu, less than 50% of the people that played Cygni even beat the first stage. Sure says something!

Ah geez, this is going to take forever, isn't it

Our latest 'zine is available on garagekit.club. The ARTMIC Fan Book is 56 pages covering the studio responsible for Bubblegum Crisis, Mospeada, Gall Force, Riding Bean, MADOX-01, Dragon's Heaven, and a heap of other OVAs and projects.

I was finally able to get Air Raid working, this is a doujin shooter based on the visual novel Air, developed by Studio SiestA, who would later make Trouble Witches. It looks stellar for a doujin game and has a fun system that involves pummeling enemies around the screen.

This is at least the second time that Idea Factory has resurrected the Madou Monogatari license, though the first time it was renamed Sorcery Saga when it came out in English for the Vita (and later on Steam). It didn't seem to get a good reception back then.

New article up! It only took 6 years but... the translation of the Tōki Denshō - Angel Eyes development diary is finally up! Go have a look at the constant trouble this game faced while in the shadow of Dead or Alive... 🔗 sudden-desu.net/entry/touki-...

when i did this RUSTY (Pc98) post card for @hg101.bsky.social , the homage was a deliberate wink to the game's inspo (and make it feel like an 90s OVA)

I was going through my dad's movie soundtrack CDs and found this awesome poster for the British film Mosquito Squadron. The film apparently isn't very good but the style almost definitely influenced the artwork for shooters by Toaplan over twenty years later.

I see people saying this sort of thing often, and quite frankly it makes me sad. The truth is, more people are making good adventure games now than were ever made during the “golden age” of the 90s. For example: 🧵
