I grew up with Pluto being called a planet and it's still a planet in my heart. Trump and his ilk can Gulf of Mexico whatever they want, it's still Gulf of Mexico to me and I refuse to refer to it by any other name.

Confirmed in Discord Q&A by Corrine Busche RE: Dragon Age Veilguard. "You can select Rook's pronouns, but also gender, because those are not necessarilly the same". So, sounds like he/him or she/her pronoun non-binary player character is possible.

I made this Pride flag using only NASA images and our team thought it would be cool to share on social (I work on the NASA heliophysics communications team), but it's getting all sorts of hate on the bird app and Fbook. Thought y'all might be more appreciative of it here. ☺️🏳️‍🌈💖

Coming this August our 3rd Annual Donut-A-Thon hosted by raven0044 in loving memory of donut2677! Spread the word, mark your calendars lets raise money for The American Heart Association. More info coming soon!

Saturday afternoon Topaz woke up from a 45 minute nap with a small bit of swelling on her cheek. I'd assumed she had been but or stung by something. It wasn't red or hot to the touch and her airways weren't compromised so we treated with Benadryl.

(1/2) If you find yourself asking, "Is my brain broken?" after trauma: good news! It's not. @luxalptraum.com & @erikamoen.bsky.social teamed up in this comic from the archive to explain the basics, from what it's doing in your brain to how to heal from it. www.ohjoysextoy.com/trauma-lux-a...

How tired was I driving home from work tonight? I sat at a stop sign for a minute waiting for a green light before I realized I was sitting at a stop sign. 😂

I miss streaming and hanging out with people so damn much. Having a puppy and a new job is a lot. But I finally started my full time schedule so hopefully I can figure out a time to stream.

Some days are just incredibly mentally draining at work. But then I came home and cuddle my babies and a part of my cup is refilled.

Happy #TransDayOfVisibility 🏳️‍⚧️

Happy trans day of visibility to my trans & non-binary brothers and sisters. You are so loved!

May trans people get to grow old in peace with deeply set laugh lines in your beautiful faces ❤️

Me last night: I'm completely exhausted from multiple nights of intermittent sleep or only 4-5 hours of sleep. I'm going to bed early so I can get 7+ hours of sleep The cat & crow: but what if we woke you up at 1:45 am?

Today's been a lot. The cat decided to mess with the puppy again 3 am so the puppy decided it was play time. Topaz had a significant allergic reaction to her pain medication (she's going to be okay, just uncomfortable for awhile). And I did my first euthanasia at work. I'm exhausted

Devastating seeing non-passing trans ppl ask, “Am I hurting the community?” for simply existing. Babes, no. You’re amazing. You’re stunning. You’re lovable. You’re worthwhile. No matter how much they’ll argue otherwise, cis ppl’s acceptance or comfort towards you doesn’t determine your validity. 💖

The Access-Ability Summer Showcase 2024 is currently aiming for a June 7th air date. If you're a game dev focusing on making your game accessible to disabled players, who'd like to showcase your title this summer, now's the time to reach out. [email protected]

Purposely set my alarm an hour and half earlier than I needed to get up so that I could have a nice slow wake up and not have to race/stress and this has been really nice. Lofi animal crossing music, tea (I can't drink coffee on my meds), and taking care of the animals at a leisurely pace.

Well I was supposed to go purchase new pants for work tomorrow, but instead important paperwork accidentally got put in the wrong location back when we had company and I just had to panic search for it for an hour. I feel like that should have counted as a workout because my heart rate was SPIKED.

She officially has a name besides "Puppy". Everyone meet Crow. Named so because she is loud, dramatic and has an affinity for collecting rocks, sticks and whatever other things in the yard she deems trinkets.

Me: it doesn't feel like 7 am already Also me: ....oh right we lost an hour

Finally get to add another color!!!

Duchess takes awhile to warm up to animals. She still has moments where she is overwhelmed by the puppy and needs breaks. But she also really loves the puppy.

She hit a growth spurt so her weight is 22.6 pounds this week. However, as of last night she increased how much she is eating by a full cup a day, so I expect her to regain that weight quickly.

Now that I have accepted the formal job offer. I got a job as a receptionist at an emergency animal hospital. I'm so nervous & anxious, but also excited about this next adventure.

Reminder: if you wouldn't say it to your kid, your favorite pet, or your favorite person, you have no business saying it to yourself. Trauma conditions us to talk to ourselves like our bullies & abusers talked to us. It's a record worth scratching the hell out of.

Tomorrow I have to weigh the puppy. Does anyone want to guess what she'll weigh. She weighed 20 pounds the day after we got her, 26.5 pounds the next week. Person who gets closest to her actual weight tomorrow morning gets bragging rights.

First book of March is finished. It had so many things I love in it: found family, tea, vampires, a heist. It does have multiple POVS and listening to it via an audiobook I sometimes struggled to follow what was happening in that exact moment.

Puppies are a lot of work and I have felt very out of sorts these past 2 weeks, but slowly we are building routines and I'm having energy leftover to get the house back in order. That said it's currently past nap time and dogmageddon at my house because puppy needs to take a nap.

It took me 9 months & a lot of hard work to heal enough to be able to pick up a book & read again. This year I've read 5 books, on track to finish book 6 by end of Feb with 3 more books checked out from the library already & 3 more holds. Some times I'm on awe of how far I've come in a year.

I'm finally ready to tell social media. Wednesday night we purchased a puppy to spare her being dumped at the overly full animal shelters the next day. She doesn't have a name yet.
