It's so deeply cruel to not only position that people on the spectrum aren't able to contribute to society but that they must do so to matter. They, like all people, deserve happiness without reservation.

autistic people with high support needs can do these things in a society that gives them that support. as someone with low support needs they’re all things i regularly do, except baseball because i do not like team sports
