Donald Trump's most successful business venture isn't his real-estate projects or "The Apprentice." It's crypto, writes Will Gottsegen:

Chicago got a Pope before ever having a 4000 yard passer

*drunk at the conclave* nooooooo don’t pick him he sucks

The russians are doing the same thing now, almost 100 years have passed, and they haven't changed.

"We have drafted Mike Green to be our new designated rapist."

He is a union apprentice and raising three special needs kids, two of them from his wife's previous relationships so yes he is certainly in the running.

Feels like the run up to a joke where the punchline is Lettuce Talk

We're so fucked. also goddamn are these pins hideously huge.

“Mommy, no. Mommy.” Daughter captures the moment masked ICE agents smash the window of her mother's car in order to take her into custody. The government claims the 52-year old seamstress is an associate of the MS-13 gang. www.thebaltimorebanner.com/community/lo...

I think it’s a great negotiating strategy to publicly refer to the people you’re talking to as groveling before you and kissing your ass while also announcing new tariffs on pharmaceuticals. It really makes it easy to sell any potential deals back to their own domestic audiences.

The guy that lost a million dollar bet with me on hyperinflation is the relative voice of reason on the right today

Your tariff rate is your star sign divided by the number of boys you've kissed, multiplied by one

My evening thought is that I suspect a great many Americans, in the period after 1989, grew very used to a world in which it didn't matter *that* much who they elected (to them). They had the rule of law, the most prosperous economy in human history, the long peace. But it always mattered.

donald trump has nothing to worry about. a corrupt oligarch with a campaign run by paul manafort has never been brought down over his decision to turn away from closer trade ties with europe in favor of submission to russian domination

Gonna keep saying this: In the 1840s, Southerners insisted that they could kidnap any person they alleged was a slave without any state or federal process. This turned even minimal process into resistance and raised the salience of the issue, which radicalized a bunch of people against slavery.

Day 71 🙂👌

Trump stole the Biden economjc plan

Yes the media lied about the economy before the election, and it likely mattered substack.com/inbox/post/1...

Two different Ukrainian population centers right now. russia did not stop its terror for a minute and feels quite comfortable repeating it each day

“In nearly 15 years working on foreign-aid efforts across continents, I’ve seen that when America withdraws from the world, the world’s problems come knocking on its door,” Ryan Crow writes: theatln.tc/hsUU4vRO

The Atlantic editors room hearing everyone claim under oath that there was nothing classified in that chat:

This is the thing that infuriates me the most. I'm not asking Jared Golden to change literally any of his substantive positions.* I'm asking him to be a vociferous and implacable defender of our Constitution. This is apparently too tall an order for him.

This comes as we got confirmation over the last couple of days that ICE's Homeland Security Investigations — which was until Trump took over mainly concerned with things like hunting down pedophiles and traffickers — has been told to comb through social media to find people for these operations.

Why haven't they started calling it WhiskeyLeaks yet

Russia killed a mother and her three-year-old daughter by dropping an air bomb on the village of Kurtivka in Donetsk Oblast. The mother’s 15-year-old daughter was also injured and sustained fractures.

Witkoff saying that the overwhelming majority in the four Ukrainian regions (Zaporizhzhia, Kherson, Donetsk, Luhansk) voted to be part of Russia is preposterous. The 2022 referendums were sham. The majority in Zaporizhzhia live in areas under Ukrainian rule where there was no referendum at all.

This Baltic scenario by @carlomasala1.bsky.social is worth discussing beyond the German-speaking audience. Especially in light of the mistaken presumptions about Ukraine’s and Russia’s respective capabilities pre-2022 and the policy mistakes that resulted, it’s important to get our premises right
