The first iPhone Tim could truly say is worse than the last one lmao. I think it's fine for what it is. Apple should have known the MagSafe thing would be all anyone talked about. But really, if you're not using MagSafe yet, you won't care that it isn't there, and I expect that is a lot of people

There's a new iMessage app called PicoChat that copies the original PictoChat for Nintendo DS and it's exactly as glorious as you think www.macstories.net/news/picocha...

I'm totally buying an Apple doorbell. But MagSafe? What's that about?

The combination of reading comprehension issues and not opening the article to read the story has brought out some of the dumbest comments on the internet on this one (on X). 😂 appleinsider.com/articles/25/...

I love that morons jump to "deep state subliminal messaging" instead of "so many people utter 'racist' and 'Trump' in the same breath that the text-to-speech algorithm is getting confused." Whatever the case, it's fucking hilarious.

Apple has done a lot of great work to make Trump feel like he's driving their decisions when in fact he's a blip on their radar. Apple didn't get rid of DEI, it already makes investments like this in the US and this $500B is in line with its usual rates. Cook is proving to be an excellent puppeteer

It's pretty easy to satisfy someone that makes demands they don't understand by promising them things you already planned on doing. Apple has been expanding its work force at similar rates and investing in the US infrastructure thanks to the CHIPS act, so yeah, nothing new.

trillion dollar industry that will revolutionize everything

Sonny is the first source sharing this design I can trust. This is a render, but for some reason it's much more palatable than Prosser's. I think the two tone design made the bar more pronounced than it is. Sonny's renders make it look downright skinny. But again, it may just be a trick of colors.

Apple making a really good recipe app (inside of Apple News) was not in my bingo card.

@ryanashcraft.com I wonder if you could make it so users could share a recipe from Apple News+ Food to Foodnoms to have it either log a food or add a recipe to the library.

"Other tech podcasts I listen to doesn't mention these politically charged stories" Ok, that's fine. But our show covers all the important news, and how the world affects Apple and its business is very important regardless of how much you kiss Nazi ass.

Needless to say, I'm quite happy to see Apple Intelligence on Apple Vision Pro.

iPhone 16e isn't a rebranded iPhone SE, and it looks like I may be right about the next iPad Pro. Hope you all enjoy this episode of the AppleInsider Podcast.

Yelp for people

I knew physical mail would die eventually, but I didn't think it would be like this.

This was a silly ad, but I enjoyed it.

I'd change five letters: ̶W̶ i̶ n̶ d̶ o w̶ s ⇣ os ⇣ MacOS

I hate we're back to "rumor guy says vaguely probable things about future devices" reporting season. That camera bar is still bullshit until literally anyone else more reliable says otherwise or Apple shows it to us in September. I can't take it seriously from the current sourcing.

Leaks happen, sure. But usually with a wide gap between the information beginning to exist and it getting out. Months sometimes. So I expect what we're seeing with this iPhone 17 camera bar stuff is circa October 2024 testing. Images sourced from EVT models. The big leakers aren't talking about it

Just found my cat in the middle drawer under the kitchen counter. How's your night going?

idk who needs to hear this, but iPhone 16e isn't $599 because of tariffs. It's because it's a more expensive phone.

Stop calling it an iPhone SE 4. This is an entirely different product and we've technically known this the whole time without realizing it.

Looks like we were both right (leakers). Apple didn't call the new iPhone SE iPhone 16e, instead it launched a whole new product line at a higher price point and positioned it as an entry iPhone 16 model. I expect this will be the strategy going forward. iPhone 17e in a year. Still, weird name.

There is a short "keynote" for Apple's iPhone 16e. www.youtube.com/watch?v=mFuy...

I hope America is as lucky as the delta jet - everyone survives but the right wing explodes

Wow, worthless company that offers no value goes under while yelling racist remarks. Seems to be a trend.

"Pre-plan for a plane crash and wear cold-weather climate clothing and sturdy shoes" isn't a conversation we should ever have to have with anyone. Brought to you by the same people that gave us "kids performing active shooter drills." Weird how people keep voting for these morons.

idk why Pu bothers anymore. His predictions seem increasingly outlandish. Titanium in the slim and light iPhone but the lighter aluminum material in the pro phones. Yep, makes sense. Almost as much sense as a camera bar that serves no other purpose than aesthetics. I'm firing all the leakers.

Ok Apple, your move. Bring Apple Books to the Google Play Store (so us Apple nerds can play around with e-readers) I'd love to see an Apple Books app that syncs progress and keeps track of reading streaks in the Google Play Store. Can't think of any reason why not.

idk if I'm late to this or not, but Kingdom Come Deliverance II is awesome? Like, Skyrim level of world immersion. I love it. I do wish it were a fantasy game, but the historical aspects of it provide some charm. I'm still not used to all the Christians saying stuff about Jesus lol.

Excellent thoughts on the matter. It's all incredibly stupid. Apple and Google can't go to war with any country, whether it's China or the US, but this still stings and we can hope that Apple at least is embarrassed by this and is ready to switch it back the second they think they can.
