I was trying to get at thing that’s been bubbling around me at #NCPH2025 and I hit on “solidarity.” Turns out that’s this year’s conference theme. So, well done program committee! Mission accomplished.

En route to #ncph2025 in Montreal!! Looking forward to convening with my #PublicHistory peeps and envisioning a better world

Thank you @ptfilmfest.bsky.social for this weekend’s mini-fest “Black Film in the PNW.” I needed that break from the news, that camaraderie, and that creative inspiration.

THREAD: The telling of our history--one that is truthful & anchored in evidence--is being wiped away & literally rewritten in the National Park Service RIGHT NOW. You may have heard about the erasure of trans people from NPS sites, including its telling of Stonewall: www.nps.gov/ston/index.htm

BTW, the LGBTQ Heritage Theme Study is still up so download it while you can! Its a lot of great info including stories of individuals and sites and how to go about doing respectful research. 🗃️ www.nps.gov/subjects/tel...
