Frank is an incredible activist who taught AABB how to do much of the work we are currently doing. If you know anyone in Texas it's time to elbow them in the ribs til they make a call to their state reps.

Our grocery store gave us like…4x the amount of cherry tomatoes we needed for a recipe and I didn’t want them to go to waste, so I made sun-dried tomatoes in the oven. The last photo is them in a jar of olive oil with a couple of cloves of garlic. 🥰

Captain Underpants is only considered dangerous reading because it's at its core anti-authoritarian and about learning more compassion. It's a love letter to creating art, no matter what it is. Even if it's stupid and looks bad. And that encourages kids. It empowers them. And in turn, empowers us.

A reminder that fiction — books, film, games, what have you — is always political. The willful absence of “politics” in any work is itself a political choice and a political act. Who gets to tell (and sell) stories is political. It might be an undercurrent — covert, not overt. But it’s there.

I went to one of my favorite places yesterday (the Houston toy museum) for their garage sale and left with 4 wonderful Barbie dresses (one of which is handmade!) for $4. They’re washed and drying and I’m very excited.
