It’s #BeeFriday and this little Carder Bee is having a busy time visiting all the lungwort, pulmonaria, flowers. I’ve planted more of these plants this year as they’re so many new varieties coming onto the market now. This one is Shrimp on the Barbie. 😃 Have a wonderful weekend Bsky people.

A very cooperative chalcid wasp, smaller than a grain of rice (~3mm), yet dazzling. When people ask “Why bugs?”, I show them insects like this. Metallic, red-eyed, and basically a real-life xenomorph in biology. 🪲🪳 #Invertebrate #macrophotography #Chalcidoidea 🌿 #entomology #hymenoptera
