Started a new side project a few weeks ago. I figured that I might as well use NextJS 15 with React 19. Because future etc Oh, have I regretted that decision many times since! For example, shadcn components are not type compatible with new React. Easy enough to fix. But still.

Here are two things you should do to use Cursor without pulling your hair out: 1. Commit every time you've made a change. This helps to avoid Cursor messing up in other files. 2. Be manic about single responsibility. Cursor performs much better when editing a tiny, single-use file.
