so, to allow for privacy features (which have been roughly sketched out in some dev skeets) they have to rewrite /how/ the data can be accessed by /all/ browser whilst remaining anti-billionaire.
that takes a LOT of time && manpower, esp when theyve had auch a user boom.

think of bsky not like a single social media platform, but like the browser you are using to view and interact w/ a large set of data.
bsky is inherently anti-billionaire bc of this. it cant be bought. a new browser can be made, snd everything can be used there.

they have worked backward from other languages before due to the gnostic themes, so i'm curious which names will wind up being more 'lore accurate.' i could see 'sky' and 'light' having some sort of more direct relevance, even if minor.
