I'm an average guy. If I was somehow on TV and very obviously gave a nazi salute - twice - the internet would melt, it would be on CNN, people would dox me, and I would have to move to the moon. Elon Musk literally did it on live TV and it isn't on any major US news station. WHAT THE FUCK??????

I don't want to be a downer but I have to share or I'll explode. I had to put my dog down a couple days ago (cancer). I had to put my other dog down in July (lost the ability to walk). Both my dogs gone in less than 5 months. 14 years of having my furry buddies is over. I don't know what to do.

My goal this year was to read 50 books, with a challenge that for every book I'd read before, I had to read a brand new one. I hit 50 last night. My final few for the year will be "Duma Key" by @stephenking.bsky.social , "Consider Phlebas" by Iain Banks, and "Say Nothing" by Patrick Radden Keefe.

Here's my simple life-changing idea, free just for you! All public-facing media should be based in fact. Honest, verifiable, peer-reviewed, empirical fact. No opinion, no "just asking questions", no thought-pieces. Just fact. Call that "the news". Everything else should be called something else.

I don't want to sound a conspiratorial, but it sure seems like it Matt Gaetz was able to avoid his ethics issue and quit Congress without a bunch of fuss. Makes you think that maybe he was never going to be AG and this was just a clever way to let him disappear with a shred of dignity left.

I say "gross" every time I see a cybertruck. It has gotten to where my wife and kids look at me when we pass one, waiting for me to say it and I never disappoint them. It won't change anything but it makes me feel better to do it.

First thoughts on Dune Prophecy: I love, love, love that they kept with the feel that Denis Villeneuve created. The color, the soundtrack, the costumes - super slick. I appreciate the references to the prequel trilogy even if I don't love those books. I see great things coming for #Dune lovers!
