On the eve of a new Survivor season, just wanted to remind my followers that I'm happy to offer season recommendations if you ever decide to check it out!!

rolling up to the dentist today telling them that any lack of improvement on my end is due to my desire to support them, a local business <3

looking at the one thousand DCU projects James Gunn has been teasing: literally where the hell is Wonder Woman

Every so often I remember that Oprah brought us Dr Phil, Dr Oz and The Secret but the only person she brought back to destroy on her show was the guy who pretended to be a worse drug addict than he actually was in a book

I have a doctor's appointment tomorrow and I'm trying to figure out how to best translate *gestures wildly at everything* for when my lab results have inevitably invented new numbers and my doctor has to ask why

I know there's dozens of things to contact reps about every single day, but today please contact them about keeping USPS independent. Privatizing USPS would be devastating for so many reasons, but personally it would destroy my small business if I can't have affordable/accessible service. 5calls.org

I fear almost everything I enjoyed about the first season of Severance has floated away into the sunset. If I wanted to watch Lost, I would simply do that

I will vote for the first candidate who tells me they're going to make the biggest government possible. Reacher-sized agencies. Braun Strowman-level social benefits. Government so big it starts belching out National Parks and free healthcare. Chungus State.

Fictional villains: my motivation involves a complex backstory around lost love and a deep yearning to be understood Real life villains: being cruel makes me feel like a big strong man

Transgender men's invisibility is violent erasure. Sam Nordquist, a 24-year-old transgender man, was tortured for over a month to death, and his slaughter is not being considered a hate crime. The media has gone to disgusting lengths to minimize Sam's transgender identity. Hardly anyone is outraged.

as a guy who's been a jerk about comics credits for over a decade now, alt text has been a great chance to exercise that muscle, too. "A page from X by Y and Z, where..."

the international postcard thing I do is super rewarding in part because wow, the diversity of the human experience this german dude spent the entire postcard writing about how he likes to be naked in nature. not the topic I'd spring for when writing my singular message to someone, but, ok! sure

My book. If you even care

no one: absolutely no one: an australian: it appears we're at the pointy end of the stick!

updated my bluesky header with a classic:

Organizing my browser bookmarks (high stakes stuff, yes) and almost all of the articles, studies, essays, etc. I saved from the 2010s internet are just gone. Websites, domains, entire news sites, down and gone. Especially on the comics side of things.

Wondering why there are so few unions in video games? Why some shops have taken *years* to reach contracts? Why the movement seems to be progressing so slowly? I'll be interviewing one of the industry's top organizers at GDC in a few weeks — don't miss it: schedule.gdconf.com/session/unio...

HOT DOGS

Always blindsided when I see screengrabs of someone's Stardew Valley game and they've modded all the character portraits to make everyone more conventionally attractive. Mandatory buccal fat removal for EVERYONE

my two moods:

The Stonewall Inn released a response to the National Parks Service removing the word transgender from the park outside of the Inn. A great reminder that we have to look after each other

Had a top tier moment at work yesterday when a co-worker and I ran into each other leaving a hidden set of bathrooms that seemingly no one else in the office knows about felt very much like two burglars running into one another mid-heist

They can't stop trans art aftermath.site/kennedy-center...
