My profession causes immense harm. Journalism has been abused, seized by the powerful, and used as a tool to manufacture consent for atrocity. Maybe none of this matters, but when my son asks about this period I will be able to look him in the eyes and say I wasn't a coward, I wasn't complicit.

Not fully understanding this. So, the election worker was tasked with delivering 2 locked cases of votes to the central AEC depot in Barton *after* the votes had been counted? And they only delivered 1 case, yet nobody at the AEC checked at the time? Also, what was the person hoping to achieve?
