It would be a shame to encourage folks to use banned book lists to do strange things like -check them out regularly at the library -request the library order them if they don’t have them -buy them -start or support banned book clubs -organize a banned book kids story time A real shame

Too many folks want to bypass accountability to get to community, but there is no community without accountability. Community isn’t just kumbayah & holding hands. Community is built off trust. Trust is build off accountability. It’s the hard but necessary work that births community.

CALL YOUR ELECTED OFFICIALS. If you don’t know what to say, go to 5calls.org, which literally makes calling your reps the easiest thing in the world. Keep calling. Become a nuisance. Do other shit, too… but at the very least, call them.

If you are a federal worker being offered a buyout, I would advise against taking it. Of course, this is a personal decision for everyone and it’s your choice. But these offers are a rush job. The legality is questionable and this admin does not keep to its word. They aren’t firing for a reason.
