I keep seeing posts about go-bags, like gotta have 'em, here's what goes in 'em, etc. Okay, so what %age of such posters actually have prepared in this way? I will wager that # is very low. (Of course, one should probably not admit to such possession on these platforms, so I'm not asking.)

Teachers, can we PLEASE stop teaching kids "in conclusion" and other such unhelpful filler? Conclusions need to be organic, and sometimes an essay doesn't even need a formal conclusion!

Not only must we be willing to fight for someone we don’t know, we must also fight for someone we may have not always agree with. When we fight for things like Medicare for all, that means all. A Biden voter. A Trump voter. A Harris voter. No one should go into debt if they need to see a doctor.

I've held multiple truths: I believe in advancing the teaching profession, which includes better pay, working conditions, and expertise. I also believe that too many teachers I considered colleagues are racist, sexist, and/or fascist. The latter makes the former harder, but we must do better.
