Taking Brightline, even for only a short stretch from Miami to Aventura, is a wonderful reminder better things are always possible in this country. đźš„

Okay I’ll bite. Why are there roosters all over downtown Miami?

It gives me the icks seeing the America flag turned upside down, and I beg folks not to normalize that form of protest.

trillion dollar industry that will revolutionize everything

It speaks volumes that both Nate Silver and Noah Smith are entirely absent from this site.

Just walked by a Cybertruck in the heart of Brickell as someone passing me pointed and told his friend “look at that piece of s***” Et tu, Miami?

Hello? Officer? I’d like to report a chart crime. www.wsj.com/business/bir...

Honestly blown away by how many EVs I see in Miami. Especially Hyundai, Kia, Chevy, and Honda. Figured this would be monolithically a Tesla town.

The mantra of Silicon Valley for almost 20 years has been to seek obscene profits building software on top of the real things everyone else has built. They’re about to learn a tough lesson in what happens when your financiers spend decades undervaluing and neglecting the the industrial sector. 🔌💡

I received my last 2024 tax forms last week, and sent everything off to my accountant this past weekend. I’d previously never completed my taxes before mid-March. I would strongly recommend everyone else likewise makes 2025 the year they stop procrastinating on their taxes.

Georgia made cars, Georgia made batteries. 30D qualified. "Hyundai and SK On’s battery plant in Bartow County can transport batteries to the new EV plant in about 5 hours….it will have roughly 16.5 GWh annual battery capacity, or enough for around 200k EVs." 🔌💡🚗 electrek.co/2025/02/17/h...

I think I set a personal record today in earliest getting my taxes done

There is a very good case for avoiding LLMs altogether. The likeliest outcome IMO is they become misinformation machines that degrade the aptitude of their users. And when employed in real-world settings they’ll produce increasingly disastrous results.

I swear every fifth Cybertruck I see is wrapped with advertising for a get-rich-scheme. This one literally says: “Scan. Profit” The official ride of hucksters and scammers.

Just got my detailed January US EV sales data. Will share some highlights and observations that I don’t think have been as widely reported yet, seeing as many OEMs don’t report monthly data or split out sales figures by powertrain. 🔌💡🚗
