#RocketLeague Fun fact! Boost used to give you exactly 11.76% boost per pad, and was changed to give a full 12% per pad. This was changed in v1.31 to give 12% exactly.

It is the HIGHEST HONOR to have made something that now forever lives in the Mike Schur-universe 😲 and then add on the fact that it's Ted fuckin Danson.. Seriously one of coolest things to happen to our 10 year old game, makes me proud 😢 Show = #AManOnTheInside @kentremendous.bsky.social

#RocketLeague Fun fact: Parties use a "weighted average" system for every party that does not have anyone above 1140 rating. Basically, if a Gold and a mid-Diamond party up, they'll face low Diamond players. Above 1140 rating, it searches ONLY based off the highest rated player in the party.

#RocketLeague Quick Tip: Your car spawns mid-air every time, even in custom training packs. If you try moving early, your car will not accelerate as soon or as strong, so give it a split second until after the car settles. This is especially important in speedflip-related packs!

#RocketLeague Quick tip (Rumble): When you punch, the most ideal way to get power is to go for a normal powerful touch, then punch the ball immediately right after. This is tricky to aim, but once mastered can hit the ball up to near maximum speed at 216kph!

#RocketLeague Fun fact: Ball spin cannot create a curving effect on the ball. The spin only affects the bounce, confirmed by Jared Cone (Psyonix employee at the time) in the Psyonix forums, and on a post of mine I made on r/RocketLeague years ago + Rocket Science (RL ofc) on YT. Bonus vid for proof!

#RocketLeague Quick tip: You don't have to fully brake to use them to slow down. High level players often tap the brake ever so briefly before holding accelerate again to slow down to a specific speed. This is useful for lobbing a ball rolling to you, or hit off the wall for air dribbles, etc etc

#RocketLeague Fun fact: The spawn points in Free Play used to spawn you in a random spot within a radius around the ball. This was later changed to be the kickoff positions. This was done either in Legacy Season 3 or Legacy Season 4 in 2016 or 2017.

#RocketLeague fun fact: Since the game's release in 2015, the color palette was expanded twice. Also, it still does not give black and white as choosable primary colors after a decade of asking from the community.

#RocketLeague quick tip: Tapping boost shortly has a minimum boost used. Something like 3 or 4 boost. Be careful with spamming boost taps if you don't wanna run out, especially on low boost!

#RocketLeague Fun Fact: Flip resets occur when 3 or more wheels touch a surface all at once. Not due to a "flip reset spot" that is commonly taught.

#RocketLeague Quick Tip: The powersliding/drift button instantly takes away most friction. To use it for sharp turns, remember to stop drifting before your turn is too sharp. Top players often tap drift repeatedly to turn sharp, instead of holding it. If held, let go before 90° of the turn.

I’m not crying, you’re crying!! 😭

#RocketLeague is getting multiplayer free play?!?!

I've been sick the last few days and I just feel like trash today... Sorry for no quick tip or fun fact.

#RocketLeague Quick Tip: When you are the most forward and well-positioned player to challenge on the ball, you can always fake challenge instead, especially in 1v1/2v2 to try and force the opponent's hand.

#RocketLeague Fun Fact: Replays files are not exactly client-side or server side. But rather, what your client was sent live by the server, ignoring the client-side predictions. At least, ones that YOU save. Match history is likely server side saved replays, at least I hope.

#RocketLeague Quick tip and fun fact (bonus for being late): The wheels you see don't represent the real physical wheels used to interact with driving and friction. They are actually very, very thin discs, and do not align with what you see. And have ZERO physics effects on the ball. /1

#RocketLeague quick tip: Dodges (aka "flips") grant instant speed, so it is ideal to boost to a certain speed and flip to instantly finish into supersonic to conserve as much boost as possible. Speedflipping is slightly faster, but uses more boost.

#RocketLeague fun fact: v1.16 made improvement to ball bounce behavior to fix issues like Umbross13 helped make aware on the main subreddit in March, 2016.

Reading for entertainment is a really good thing. Read where you can! It doesn't have to be boring academic shit. Stephen Krashen and Jeff McQuillan's research suggests reading for enjoyment in fiction improves literacy to jump into specialized language (academic, business, etc). Reading's great! 💜💜

#RocketLeague Fun Fact: The Hoops ball is ever so slightly a different size than the soccer ball, but bounces the same otherwise. With one exception. When the player has all 4 wheels on the floor, touching the ball will give slightly more height to ball hits.
