So, it's the Judicisl and Kash Patel... anyone else? PS: This doesn't make Kash a good hire or a decent person. It just gives him an inch more rope.

Not sure why I've been unable to comment, so re-posting. The last one is an instance of (1+...+n)^2=1^3+...±n^3 Any square of a number [k5] can be written as [k(k+1)] appended by 25. So, for 75^2 get 7*8=56, and 75^2=5625. Simple algebra here, unlike the other one, usually proved by induction.

They're not wrong

These are not "CEO killer's words". They are insurance company's words. We need a new federal statute. Any insurance company that denies a claim unfairly is on the hook for 3× the claim value plus escalating penalties for repeat offenses - $10000, then $20000, $50000, and $100000 for all subsequent

Is this real? I have no doubt in the accuracy of what is written - only in the authorship. You can substitute the name of almost any insurer. I say "almost" because I've been lucky with my insurance policies - more importantly, lucky, so far, with my health, not to have run into it. archive.is/7jUsF

What are the odds that Mullin has more than two drinks before 4 pm?

It's the kind of reductionist nonsense one should expect from an idiot who cannot possibly make a meaningful complex policy decision. Slogans aren't policy.

Th plane allegedly carrying Assad dropped from an altitude of over 3,650 meters to 1,070 in minutes, just outside Lebanese airspace north of Akkar. Reportedly Lebanon denied the plane permission to land. Rumours are rife, no confirmation if that was his plane or the fate of those onboard.

Although I'm not too excited about the leadership of the "rebel" forces, they're still a positive development over Assad and the Russians. Whether they go the Taliban route or turn more moderate is anyone's guess.

The timing is not accidental. They got a favorable election result that essentially promises no congressional oversight. I wonder what @rbreich.bsky.social has to say about this. From the professional standpoint (I have anesthesiologists in the family) this is insanity. www.npr.org/2024/12/05/n...

This might be the dumbest take on the pardon situation I've seen yet. There's no excuse for this journalistic malpractice. www.politico.com/news/2024/12...

News sources used to have a decent grasp of economics. Statistics, science, history - not so much. Where did all these lunatics come from?

It shouldn’t be ignored that Kash Patel chose to plead the Fifth in response to a grand jury subpoena over the Mar-a-Lago classified documents. He only testified, involuntarily, after being granted immunity. Think about that. Trump’s FBI nominee pled the Fifth in response to a DOJ subpoena.

The problem isn't Tru.p's autocracy, but the Republican complicity in it. They've abdicated from the responsibilities they've been acted for.

Wowsa. Journalist @janemayer.bsky.social, who broke the story on Hegseth in the @newyorker.com just said on @maddowblog.bsky.social that since the story broke, her phone has been ringing off the hook with more people calling who witnessed Hegseth’s extreme drunkenness.

Vivek is literally an unelected federal bureaucrat.

Some Democrats think the party has gone too far left and needs to readjust towards the “center.” Rubbish. Where’s the center between democracy and oligarchy, and why would Democrats want to be there?

Well, FWIW I did call Hegseth out as an alcoholic. The question is, how many Republican Senators will be willing to invoke this issue at the risk of being called out for alcohol abuse themselves?

How much money are these people making off the flagged fraud if they'd rather pay the Turd millions more than it would take to resolve the suits. This is straight graft.

It's a fine sentiment but he did the same thing in 2016. No one blinked and that was prior to Project 2025. Before any of them got pushed out for incompetence they managed to do a lot of damage. And the Senate is less likely to I interfere this time.

If Senate Republicans abdicate their advice&consent role, US will be on the brink of dictatorship. It's already uncomfortably close. And far too many are willing to just let it happen.

Funny because true.

What fresh hell is this?

Is the media really doing this again? No, Donald Trump did not make his personal criminal defense lawyer the number two person at DOJ to "protect" the agency from Trump. Please stop.

"The Trump transition’s unprecedented delay in signing the agreements has so far prevented the incoming administration from having any formal contact with federal agencies, including sending in groups of policy advisers known as “landing teams.” " www.politico.com/news/2024/11...

Another case of "more money than brains". Both should get a one-way ticket to Mars. www.benzinga.com/news/24/11/4...
