It's still a bit difficult for me to accept that this is long thought to be lost official mobile port of a legendary Japanese game, and not a meme game from itch.io.

Fred Durst reminds you to back up your data (2020)

I made a sworn oath the week i joined Bluesky that I won't dwelve into politics here, BUT THIS...this is, well, short, to the point, any very, VERY true.

Never seen that meme be so on point :')

This is a unique time in the development of AI, capabilities are advancing very quickly & over a billion people now use AI, but folks are still eager to hear from subject matter experts about how to apply AI effectively & ethically. It is why I worry academics “sitting out” AI are missing a moment.

the biggest mistake i see beginner gamedevs make is to not make the core thing that you spend 98% of the game doing feel satisfying

just paid off my student loan with gamedev money. The philosophy degree and 15 years of anxiety has been redeemed by you the players of achra

cruelty squad becoming as successful as it is was pretty much pure luck, just strange coincidences one after another. so it’s a bit weird when people ask me how i ”did it”

Yet more evidence that people can’t accurately detect well-prompted AI writing (and AI can’t accurately detect well-prompted AI writing, either). arxiv.org/pdf/2407.08853

It occurs to me, after reading posts getting it spectacularly wrong, that there are a lot of misconceptions over how game studios organize and, in particular, who makes the actual decisions about what ends up in your game. Much of it is by folks who don't *try* to get it... but not all, surely. 1/🧵

We don't talk talk enough about how boredom is now scarce. Boredom sparks creativity but only when people are open to new experiences & believe that they are in control of what happens to them ...but for the most part, it makes people do whatever they can for amusement including acting sadistically

Some more random shots are made about Siara, my female OC. All pre-2.2, iirc the third one is the most recent. #Cyberpunk2077 #virtualphotography #CP2077 #Cyberpunk2077PhotoMode #cyberpunkvp #VPSupport #VPRepost #Cyberpunk

I read a lot of social science papers on AI and my conclusion is that there are far too few people rigorously studying the implications (good & bad) of LLMs across society & work Computer science is producing a tide of good AI work. Economics, management, psych, & sociology etc. need to do the same

I think sometimes people get a bad impression of open-ended games if they play them one way and don't really experiment. Myself included. I think the very first time I played Dishonored Prey or SS2 I played them like traditional fps games so they came off as "boring".
