Just my 2 cents. But my goal is to ignore the trolls. Give them zero attention. Block them if they annoy me. I think the worst thing we can do on this site is re-create the ad hominem/ personal attacks that occur across comments on Twitter/insta/tiktok/ etc

I'll offer a working definition of "identity politics": The claim that a person's racial, ethnic, gender, or sexual identity is the most essential constituent that explains their thinking and action. Identity politics is a dead end for the left because the working class is always mixed-identity.

i tweeted "welcome to college football saturday" every saturday for years. it was a waste of time, not even funny in a not-funny way. a couple years in i almost quit. then i saw some guy saying "Don't reward this with engagement.
