I wrote a library called 'bettermap' for this very reason. It’s an extension of the actual map with thread safety and a periodical "garbage collection" by moving everything to a new map. It’s stupid, but it works (for me).

I want a phone that sits right between smartphones and dumbphones. Like a phone that doesn’t have any of the big corporations’ privacy trap. More or less, it should be something like the Nokia feature phones with a touchscreen sized as today’s iPhone.
