So I've definitely settled on Izoni Roots for the Non-Commander Commander deck cuz regardless of where it is Roots is a wacky magic card. Decided to exclude Jumpstart and Conspiracy, effectively cards not printed into standard or modern and honestly considering cutting modern Horizons.

Play group doesn't agree that it would be hard to build and play a deck where none of the cards come from a commander set. One guy asked "Are you just not running from the sets? Or any card designed for commander" and we both agreed the second question was nonsense, and he kept insisting on it.

Hard to make meaningful posts about mtg because of character limits but like if you dont think your deck is "Doing its thing" I have a question why? I just built a Keruga style deck in Izzet and it almost does nothing for 4 or 5 turns and even then I'd say dying on Turn 4 is probably "Its thing"

So Chaos Wand definitely showed its ass yesterday in that normally I can spin the wands several times to really take control of a game, but yesterday I got down Panoptic Mirror with Knowledge Exploitation in it and still couldn't lock down the game enough to claw back

Two different play groups this week where I have noted turn 5 as either the winning turn or critical turn which ngl feels kinda bad as someone who prefers longer games. I cant really control turn length but I can interact to extend turn count which I think I need to do.
