Zohran Mamdani, who would be NYC's first South Asian mayor, releases new ad in Hindi, complete with Bollywood clips:

The woman who shouted "people will die" at Joni Ernst, India May, is a nurse and a librarian who first got involved in politics by going to a town hall about bills aiming to defund libraries. Now she's running for state house. eu.desmoinesregister.com/story/news/p...

Another finger on the monkey's paw creeks to a close

This explains why she left her job defending Joe Biden on **checks notes** the very last possible day. www.foxnews.com/media/karine...

Billy Long's former scheduler went with him to OPM where she's earning a salary of $175,000. I got her internal calendar. Everything on it in March and April was identified as either “tentative” or “free." May was completely empty. talkingpointsmemo.com/news/billy-l...

Not always, but sometimes! I reserve my rights! No one has to read or engage with anything!

This was exactly me. I just let things fly in my mentions or argued. A lot of how we have done social media before was wrong. This is one change I have made.

I have too much of a hair trigger and I am sure there are some instances where I will be wrong or miss good conversation. Sorry. When you're engaging in public discourse with over 100,000 people, it's important to have boundaries. I have found I can only take in so much negative energy.

Let me reiterate that my block hand is quick and strong on Bluesky. As I have said many times, I block people who I find rude, disagreeable, or even mildly irksome. I am doing social media differently in this era and cultivating a space I enjoy.

I mean this is true that I’ve seen Latino people offended by it even though somebody’s going to say that’s going too far with woke.

Apologies, this is shitty web design and not just a two sendtence plan. He had more on this issue in a pdf below the "back to issues" link.

If I am being honest, there is a racial element to the "TACO" thing that bothers me. Latino cuisine is incredibly rich and vibrant. It's not a joke, especially when the community is being targeted with raids.

For a second I thought this was about internecine Dem beef and then I got it.

When senators asked Billy Long what he actually does at OPM, he apparently read them a press release. Now he could be headed to the IRS. talkingpointsmemo.com/news/billy-l...

🤌🏻

Also a fair point.

I've got to do a bit of a mea culpa on this fine morning.

We need to move this conversation away from a philosophical debate. We need to move it away from national examples. The simple fact is that, in New York, these developers are getting exemptions and then building less affordable housing than promised.

I have blocked like three "YIMBY" posters today. One was telling me I am "intolerant" about this issue. I sure am! Unapologetically. It's almost as though I watched friends get hurt and pushed out of NYC for decades.

I literally don't know what you should do in Austin! I know very little about the city except that it's structurally *very different than New York* I actually don't think we should respond with one size fits all solutions. Different cities have different needs! I only know NYC!
