This is what always drove me nuts. NIH helps fund research but drug company makes a killing (pun intended) selling it. If it's publically funded they should have to pay back public funded R&D plus a "base science" fee or sell it for a reasonable price.

This. I don't have the patience for willful ignorance anymore. If someone goes conspiracy (i.e. vaccines) but can't list basic science associated with it (i.e. DNA/RNA differences) I have no problem telling them they aren't qualified to discuss it. That's not an echo, it's accountability.

I have family with cancer and work with extremely sick patients in the ICU. If I get covid and am asymptomatic I can transfer those people what is effectively a death sentence. Vaccines reduce that risk.
