I may not have pre-ordered a Switch 2, but I still got an amazing birthday present.

The descent to fascism is a slippery slope, and the people in charge are strapping on their skis www.ksl.com/article/5129...

Today I started the last year of my 30's in much the same way I've started every day of my 30's. Made breakfast, got the kids ready for school, walked the dog, worked in the yard. Maybe the videogame time will come later. #dadlife

Comic up.”Registry”. Make it make sense.

If this is done well, it could be really good. I was really disappointed in the show, so I'm not going to get my hopes up.

The Internet is going crazy over Oblivion, and I'm just at home with my usual routine.

I check local news, yet another road rage incident ending in a shooting I open bluesky, greeted by the latest "celebrity" news and political nightmares I set my phone down, shoving more Easter candy in my mouth as I rub my eyes, exhausted Then I pick up my phone to check Bluesky again.

Imagine there's no heaven It's easy if you try No hell below us Above us, only sky Imagine all the people Livin' for today Imagine there's no countries It isn't hard to do Nothing to kill or die for And no religion, too Imagine all the people Livin' life in peace

I haven't played The Stanley Parable since its 2013 release, and I had forgotten just how much of a delight it is to play. I haven't touched the new content yet, I'm enjoying the rediscovery of increasingly chaotic loops and the narrator growing more and more unhinged as I go.

Me when we're in the car and my wife asks if my 2000s Emo/Punk/Alt Rock playlist is "appropriate for the kids"

Of course, the day the Switch 2 pre-order date is announced the universe decides to remind me that I'm an adult with adult responsibilities

Stuck in that decision paralysis phase I enter after finishing a game. The top of my backlog is all stealthy action games but I'm kind of burned out on those right now So I downloaded Wolfenstein New Order, Yakuza: Like a Dragon, Baldur's Gate 3 and Stanley Parable. I'm sure one of those will stick

It takes a lot for a game to hold my attention long enough that I finish the main story. It's even rarer for me to 100% complete one. My completed games list is a short one, consisting of experiences that are easily my favorite AAA games of the modern era. I'm glad to add one more

Going back to play early Command and Conquer games is rough. Warcraft 1 & 2 aren't great. Civ I-III Age of Empires Myth Dune All kind of bland experiences now. StarCraft holds up.

Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown has been an unexpected hit for me. My favorite part? I started playing on my Switch last weekend while I was on an airplane. No required download. No 90 minute install. I just put the game cart in and played... 🧵
